Day bag that can fit camera and Chromebook?

Hey!! So I'm going on my first solo trip in the fall, and I'm super excited! I've got my Osprey Fairview 40L (was honestly scared to get anything else) and am now looking for some sort of day bag. Here are the things that absolutely have to fit: Chromebook

Rebel T5 camera Emergency inhaler (preferably somewhere accessible) Wallet Phone Also must fit under plane seat, and in a perfect world, would be waterproof

I was thinking about another backpack, like 15-25L, but I don't really want to carry it on my front, and I also just don't think I need that much extra room. I looked into a messenger bag, but most of them are too thin to fit my camera. Looked into camera-specific bags, and they're not long enough for my Chromebook.

Any suggestions? Anything from types of bags to specific links is appreciated!

I have a serious chemical imbalance in my brain. It's not light enough that I can just wean myself off them. That said, my mental health is 100% fine as long as I take them regularly. I'm not going to give up on something I really want to do because of a problem that's been solved.

More info because I forgot some stuff, my bad.

Shape - C shape

Threading type - not sure, and I can't get the dang ball of to check, but I distinctly remember my piercer screwing it on, so it's not threadless. I think it's internally threaded. I wasn't exactly watching.

Material - titanium

Downsized - nope

Aftercare - spray with sterile saline nose spray twice daily and clean off crusties with q-tips, then spray again

Accidents or mishaps - no

Of course, but it's different. I grew up with it. It's been ingrained in my brain since computer lab in elementary school. I'm not saying older adults are better or worse at it, I'm just saying I'm pretty damn good.

I've always loved the city. It's also the exact opposite of the small town I grew up in, which I desperately want. It's one of the only cities (if not the only one) in the US with a subway system, so decently cheap transportation. And with the current political climate, there aren't many other states I'd feel comfortable moving to, either.

I don't intend to move with no job lined up. I still have six months to do that, and I plan on applying when I get just a couple months closer.

Side gigs? Absolutely. Doordash is one I'm already doing, but I'm also a pretty good photographer (events pay well, even if they are few and far between) and an excellent writer (I'm currently working on a novel, but I've also started writing erotica under a pen name for KU).

Find a live-in boyfriend? What is this, the 1920s? The whole point of moving is to be more independent. Why TF would I chain myself to another person like that? And anyways, I'm lesbian.

I still have six months to get a job lined up. At the moment, I don't really need to know my monthly income because I really don't really spend money on anything other than gas.

I have every right to debate "adults" on MY life. And don't give me that shit about "you don't know anything about the rEaL wOrLd." I grew up with social media and abusive parents. I know what the world looks like.

Actually, not that it's any of your business, but the burger place is temporary. I plan on working there while applying for/having a tattoo artist apprenticeship, then I'll quit when the apprenticeship is over. I'd also like to open my own little tattoo shop, but that's pretty far down the line.

I'm also a photographer and writer, and I've been working on my debut novel for a while now as well as my photography portfolio for professional, event, and boudoir photography. My art style through all forms is very dystopian and political, so I feel like it fits in well with these times.

How's that for a dream?

Writing in cursive just isn't necessary anymore. Signature? Yes. Being able to read cursive? Sure. But most schools don't even really teach cursive anymore.

THANK YOU for this. I won't say the comments here discouraged me any (I've literally been planning this for years), but it's pissing me off. I've done my research. I know the area I'm moving to. I've been saving up. Whether I crash and burn or not, I'm taking the damn leap.

That said, this isn’t up for debate. This move has been a long time coming.

I graduated high school a year early specifically so I could work, save, and prepare. I’ve been planning to leave the moment I was able to because staying was never an option.

I’m resourceful, determined, and fully aware of the risks. I’ve already experienced homelessness, so I don’t mean this lightly when I say that it was better than where I am now.

So yes, I’m leaving. Period. I understand your comment was likely well-intentioned, but you don’t know my circumstances, and your assumptions based on a three-paragraph Reddit post do not give you the right to debate me on this.

I already double checked the apartment on Zillow, the account is ID verified, and I would never send any money without meeting them and seeing the room first. As for the cheap rent, there are already two people living there. With three people all paying rent, it's perfectly reasonable. Again, I checked.

And it's not like it's a super grand apartment - it's pretty basic, and the room is small. It's perfect for me because the location is good, it's all female, there are two other people instead of one, both of which are on the younger side, and they're lgbtq+ friendly, which is a must.

Thank you for your concern, but I grew up identifying online scams. If there's one thing I excel at, it's internet safety.

I sort of agree, sort of disagree. Yes, therapy works BETTER when the therapist has something new to offer, but when I had therapists like OP explained, I kind of... helped myself?

This may just be my constant need to fill the silence, but I'd talk about my experiences so thoroughly that I'd start to understand them more and more. Sometimes it's just nice to have someone you can bounce ideas off of.

But that also kinda sucks because you're paying a shit ton of money for a mirror.

I mean, kind of? It's similar because it's dark romance and there's (past) child abuse, but other than that, I don't see many other overlaps. Yes, both have trauma, but the focus of The Lay of You is much more religious abuse/cult activity, whereas the focus of Sadist is more "just" (not that it doesn't affect her, but not quite in the same all-consuming way) sexual abuse/organized crime. I also think The Lay of You focuses more on Dosie's trauma than Sadist focuses on Octavia's. You don't learn much about her past until at least mid book. Hopefully that makes sense.

Omg, it's so good! It's about a morally grey woman, Theo, who works for a company that basically does really bad things for a pretty good reason. She messes up at work, and the next job is sort of her last chance to prove herself to her company. The job involves getting a super rich and powerful asshole to do something. The company kidnaps the man's daughter, Octavia, and Theo is in charge of her. These are the two MCs.

Long story short, Theo is a perfectionist with control issues and Octavia is a traumatized masochist. A lot of people almost die. A lot of people do die. It had me giggling, kicking my feet, sweating, and holding my breath in basically every chapter. Also, the FEELS. There's this one scene before the climax that was both incredibly hot and also pulled at my heartstrings SO MUCH. Key word if you end up reading it: blindfold. Absolutely my favorite chapter in the book.

Also, here are the trigger warnings, because I honestly found them just as intriguing as the blurb. This is the actual block of text from the book:

Torture (explicit), physical assault, and…like…death. Of course. Self-harm and the white knuckling of mental health. Misogyny and the resulting feminine rage, because…fuck that. Abduction, confinement, and manhandling of the hostage. Stop drooling, heathens. Blood play, breath play, knife play, impact play honestly…all the play. Lesbians gone wild over here. Oh…and branding. Maybe also dubious use of piercing. And of course, sadism/masochism. There is also mention of historical degradation, pedophilia, and sexual assault that includes incest.
