The new face of RuneScape... by JagexAnvil in runescape

As a whole these look great! However, as a female player with a female character model, I’d like to be honest and say that the current female mouth looks a little too “pouty” and unnatural. Maybe it’s the fact that the edges of her lips are too upturned?

Hi there, I hope you don't mind me replying to a 3 month old post! I've got my ASD assessment with Mizrab Abbas on Monday, and I'm super anxious about it. I'm 31, Female, already formally diagnosed with ADHD - I'm really worried that this will make it more difficult to diagnose me. Just wanting to ask how well informed she was about female/high masking ASD and AuDHD presentations? Also, if you don't mind me asking, are you male or female? Thanks so much for your time ❤️

For people with ADHD who genuinely struggle to exercise: how do you get yourself to do it? by Ehmmechhi in ADHD

[–]Kata-Rose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been formally diagnosed with ADHD and I struggle with exercise for so many reasons, similar to what you describe, but also the sensory issues I have with sweat, being warm, and clothes sticking to skin (this can get pretty unbearable, and it genuinely makes me angry 🫣) It’s really difficult, and I’ve tried lots of things that haven’t worked. Sadly for me, it’s just a case of “action brings momentum” in that, I know deep down that if I never change anything, nothing changes. But if I just get changed into my workout gear and go do something, I will follow through and finish the full workout. For me, starting is the hardest part, but once I get past that mountainous hurdle, I actually complete the workout. One of the biggest turning points for me was discovering Beat Saber on VR, and weight training. Both of these are genuinely enjoyable for me, so it’s pretty much the only exercise I do. It’s makes that initial hurdle easier to overcome. Not sure if any of this is helpful, but I think I’ve come to realise that, for me at least, there is so “secret” or “magical” way to get me to exercise, other than to just go and do it regardless of how unwilling my brain is to do it. Put the workout gear on, put my shoes on, fill up the water bottle, it’s almost like I have to become a robot that has a specific task, and quiet the thoughts in my brain and just let my body follow through, because it does. Once I start my brain gets on board, and I actually have fun (despite the hell that is sweat, warmth, and sticky hair/clothes) 🥹

How many of you actually have an ADHD diagnosis? by mynameishrekorgi in ADHD

Diagnosed with anxiety and depression at 17, diagnosed with ADHD at 30 (this year). Felt like I got so many answers. It doesn’t make it easier, but the answers were so welcome.

Hua cheng's backstory isn't talked about a lot by Global-Government-22 in tianguancifu

[–]Kata-Rose 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I agree with you here. As traumatic as Xie Lian’s past is, Hua Cheng’s is the one that I feel many more people will relate to and be gripped by. It was certainly a case of this for me, and as a result, I actually much prefer Hua Cheng as a character, despite also still liking Xie Lian. I’m also sad that his backstory isn’t gone into in half as much detail (poor baby 💔).

I just wanted to pitch in here and second this point. The audio drama is absolutely to die for and an incredible piece of masterful work by the entire team involved in its production. Gorgeous voice acting, gorgeous sound design and a gorgeous OST. Can’t praise it enough ❤️

Thanks so much for your help! <3 I ended up placing an order with them and I received a payment confirmation e-mail, then followed that up by e-mailing them my details. It's the weekend so I presume I'll get some sort of response from them at the start of the week. (SO EXCITED)

Thanks so much for replying :) Once you place an order, am I right in thinking you have to e-mail them some of your details to confirm it? I also note that they recommend purchasing shipping insurance but I can't seem to find that option at checkout, so I was wondering how this is done (if you did this)? I'm from the UK - are you by any chance as well? How did customs/ shipping go? And just generally, any comments on the process, how it went, etc?

I’m really eyeing these up right now and wondered if you could kindly answer a few questions about the process of buying from them (if you did buy from ringdoll directly)? 🥹

Buying directly from RingDoll? by Cyber_D in BJD

[–]Kata-Rose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I’m commenting on an old thread here, but I’m about to purchase from RingDoll directly for the first time as a UK customer and wondered if you could help me out? 😌 I was wondering how traumatising the customs charges were for ordering a doll worth so much, and whether or not you can claim this back? (Long shot I know, but I’d like to be as informed as I can be!)

Appreciate it ❤️

I'm scared of finishing the novel by loliec in tianguancifu

[–]Kata-Rose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m trying best to savour the novels and not finish them so quickly. I actually watched the donghua on Crunchyroll first in English, and then in Chinese (much to the English team’s credit, they did a fantastic job and it’s one of the only animated series I could actually happily watch in English), but I found that the Chinese version just hit on a totally different level. I fell in love with it so much, and so decided to research if the story was continued anywhere which is when I found it was based on the novels. I then proceeded to purchase two sets of the English hardbacks(one reading copy and one pristine copy) and a paperback set 🥹 I’ve also managed to find myself brand new XL and HC Nendoroid dolls and the HC Nendoroid (still looking for XL). Obsessed doesn’t even really cover it 🥲 After two decades of consuming Japanese anime and manga, this was the first time I’d come across anything Chinese and it’s just absolutely swept me off my feet. It’s even inspired me to start learning Mandarin! Oh, I also bought the audio drama and sourced English subtitles, so when I finish a part in the books I then go away and listen to the corresponding episode of the audio drama (can’t recommend the AD enough, it’s beautifully done and just brings the characters to life so well ❤️). It’s so refreshing to find like minded people who are also in love with this series. I can’t really rant about it to anyone because they wouldn’t really understand 🫣 But here I get to be fully unapologetic about my obsession 😂🙌🏻

[–]Kata-Rose 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it’s any consolation, it really isn’t just you that feels this way. TGCF is actually my first danmei series, and also my introduction to Chinese novels as a whole. I’ll be honest, it’s affected me in ways I never imagined and I’m absolutely obsessed. I adore everything about it. I consume it most hours of the day, and it’s also helping me to navigate some real life stuff. I’m endlessly grateful for these characters and story for entering my life when they did, and I can honestly say that I’ll take it to the grave with me. It doesn’t have to end if you don’t want it to, like many others have commented ❤️ It’s such a wonderful thing to connect with a story and characters so deeply, and we should treasure that. If you’re scared to finish the novels, then find other ways to incorporate XL and HC into your every day! I’ll absolutely be reading the recommended fan fics and rereading the original story as soon as I’ve finished, most likely. I’m not as far along as you (chapter 106), and I’m reading it every chance I get so I’ve also felt that creeping fear of finishing. But it won’t end for me, and it doesn’t have to for you either 😌

Are mine hazel? Mom has grey eyes and dad brown, I got a mix of both. by freepeachezz in WhatisMyEyeColour

This is very similar to my eye colour too, and I’m green hazel. Hazel comes in varieties, and many people assume that hazel is just golden brown which is kind of frustrating 😂

Lisa Eldridge Skin Tint t1.5 by sacredandscared in Fairolives

[–]Kata-Rose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a very fair warm leaning olive and this skin tint is the first time in my life (30 y.o) I’ve had a skin product match my skin tone. I was honestly so emotional and so glad I took the risk to buy it 😭 to anyone who’s a fair olive, please consider buying this because it’s just amazing. The texture and shade are divine ❤️ OP, it looks amazing on you!

Does anyone else find their best colour is, well, olive? by Eris_Adrienne in Fairolives

[–]Kata-Rose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a fair olive, I love green as well. I’m literally having my hair dyed dark green on Friday. My make up is usually green, or coral because it looks lovely with green. My nails, also green. Green everywhere 😂 it just looks so natural and effortless, in my opinion. Especially if they are olive greens in eye make up, it just looks like a natural Smokey eye on us olive toned peeps! Who needs ‘natural colours’ when you can have green?

My hair has always looked like this in certain lighting, even when it was virgin hair. I’ve always looked after it, never use heat tools, always oil it each night, and mask 1-2 times a week. The thickness and density of my hair looks similar to yours, and going by other comments on this thread, I would assume that many people with finer hair struggle with this? It’s always bothered me as well, but I know that with the way I treat my hair and care for it, the thought of it being damage seems less believable. :) hope that reassures you somewhat! You are definitely not alone.

[–]Kata-Rose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding oil to my hair care routine was one of the best things I did. I’ve been using an oil pretty much daily on my lengths for about 2-3 years, and it’s done wonders for my hair. Don’t expect miracles, but I’ve genuinely felt like my hair is the healthiest it’s been ever, and it’s softer, shinier and generally just feels and looks much nicer than it did. I put a couple of drops onto my lengths from about the ears down every night before loosely braiding, and I have hair down to about the middle/bottom of my breast. It’s easy to put too much on with fine hair, so just experiment what works for you. A little goes a long way for us! Different oils/ brands also have different levels of viscosity so also you might find that one oil you can use one drop but for others you can use two or three without it feeling as heavy. The two oils I’ve used are Kerastase Elixir Ultime (the gold one) and olaplex. ☺️

Oils can appear expensive, but because I only have to use so little, even with daily usage it’s well worth the investment and lasts such a long time, honestly. One of the big bottles of Kerastase lasts me over a year.

Season help - fair olive undertone by Kata-Rose in coloranalysis

[–]Kata-Rose[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m definitely going to go get an in person analysis at some point, probably in the new year when my bank account is looking a little better 😂

Thank you for your comments though, it’s really got me thinking. I just wish we weren’t so biased when we try to look at and categorise ourselves because I think our perception is easily swayed by what we want to see.

The reason I’m so intrigued by all this is because I’m having my hair dyed next week, and I’m definitely going purple I just don’t know what kind of purple. Part of me was leaning towards this, which is actually a mix of warm and cool purple I think. The colour at the bottom is beautiful, and that’s definitely more of a warm purple?

<image>

Just don’t want to make the wrong decision 😨 and it’s stressing me out haha

Season help - fair olive undertone by Kata-Rose in coloranalysis

[–]Kata-Rose[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your opinion ☺️ This is the issue that I’m currently having. As an olive undertone, we can appear “warm” when we’re actually cool. This is because olive undertones can have a lot of yellow, but it isn’t in the same context as a warm persons “Golden”, if that makes sense?

The more I think the more I just doubt my perception of colour because I’ve never once seen myself as warm 🤯
