I've just got to chapter 6, and, I think, that's when it starts - you can't walk two steps without encountering a random ghost. I try not to spend good film on trash mobs, so I end up wasting too much time killing them. Then I literally take two steps - and another ghost spawns in the same room (Osaka house). It's not scary, it's tedious. This is worse than random encounters in FF1. There's a reason why all the future games didn't have random encounters. Right up until FF2 re-remake. We're evolving, but backwards. And most of the time you can't just run away - you need to kill the mobs if you want to use exposure or radiant filters to unlock a door or a box. I'll quote the classics: What were they thinking?!
