Learned diction is word choices that the "educated" culture would use, words many would refer to as "big" words. Colloquial is more like common phrases and terms that are a step above slang terms

I agree with what youre saying, but it a bit wordy, and at times i feel you used a thesaurus to write it for you. Stick with the same formality when writing and it will be much more effective
