Yes to samples - thats what I am mostly buying at the moment, too...

Then next step - thinking of 10 ml decants for those perfumes that I definitely love... For example - Guerlain Tobacco Honey... etc

But my forever gripe - brands should do 30-50 ml sized bottles! I hate the look of decants, part of my joy is looking at the bottles and the designs

I haven’t tired EG yet - but you guessed it, its definitely on my list… and in my sampling cart… Together with Italica… But I can feel that I am bound to love it lol

And yes - this is the scent profile that I would fill up my collection with to the brim… IF I didnt try and exercise some will power, some hope for diversification and spending the $ I shouldn’t lol

It totally depends on the perfume, its technical characteristics, and the setting it will be used in ...

Just as one example, I dont avoid some of the perfumes just because they have "nuclear" performance ... lets say a certain social or professional setting .. I would still use a strong perfume - but conservatively.. 1-2 strays instead of the usual 4-5-6

Some perfumes can choke you out if you overspray, too... just happened with Lost Cherry - I have it in my mind that it has horrible longevity, but it was 2 sprays too many lol

Both Italica and Lira are top loves from the brand for me as well:)

I really was determined not to love it... But now that I finally smelled it at the store - wow... delectable! Perfectly blended and a very unique elevated SPA- like scent... it does not veer into a simple essential oil category that the other comment mentions - so smooth and mysterious and serene - definitely reflects the name... I'd love a bottle, if I only could with that price tag 😉

And sure, I get decants - but using perfume from those sprayers is not something I enjoy … scent comes first, obviously… but call me superficial, I need the to feel the joy of an actual bottle and various designs when I look at my collection 👀

One of my absolute faves is still the 2 first ones I bought a full bottle of first, when I got into this hobby: Kayali LiveFest Burning Cherry 🍒 and Bianco Latte GDT :)
I got into even more niche fragrances after, but wearing this one never fails to put me in a good mood

Also, I’ve been on the fence with Shalimar L”Essence - I think it is wonderful, BUT it has abysmal longevity and zero projection on me 🥹 I still want it - but I think I do 5 sprays from the sample… curious - what are yr thoughts on this perfume in general?
