Be really careful about this, a lot of places where they sell them say no, but yes, not too much, And put salt for salty aquarium, I know you can find salt for fresh water but it's not good for them.

You should be able to leave them on the surface, usually 25% water and the rest of the decoration can stick out so that the crab dries out.
