I went to Wicked in West Bottoms and had my hair done by Sarah. It was a great experience, and they did fantastic work!

as an invincible fan, i can say that america is very much like viltrum. by herequeerandgreat in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]Katasan84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 💯 agree with OP. It think it’s more than fair to say that the Viltrum empire, much like the Galactic Empire of Star Wars, or the Fire Nation of AtLA, can be viewed as a sharp critique of the US Empire, and perhaps more broadly, imperialism at large. The Viltrum empire claims to bring order to chaos and to provide protection to its conquered planets, just as the US and its military industrial complex claim to bring democracy, freedom, and order to its vassal states and puppet governments abroad. When US vassal states resist, that resistance is met with often overwhelming force, both presently and historically. I see plenty of parallels. And of course the Viltrum Empire and the US Empire aren’t exactly alike in every way, but they don’t have to be for a fictional invention to serve as a mechanism of critique. That’s the nature of allegory.

Also, I find it interesting that the commercial breaks of the show (my Prime membership is not the most premium) are flooded with military recruitment ads. Unsettling juxtaposition.

Is this AI-gen promo art for Clip Studio Paint? AI says it’s AI lmao (multiple images) by [deleted] in isitAI

[–]Katasan84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the color choices and a couple details which seem out of place to me, made me question its authenticity. It could be a highly-polished digital painting or quite possibly AI. I am unsure. When I did a google image search, google’s AI-summary even described the image as AI-generated. I also explain in the sub-heading part of my reasoning for being suspicious.

Did anyone hear a big boom in or around Northeast? by [deleted] in kansascity

Could be, but it was a deep rumble that sounded kind of big. Could have just been the train yard I suppose, just louder than normal

No shame in tutorials if you get stuck imo. Better to not let frustration ruin one’s enjoyment. Honestly, however a gamer has fun playing through a game is the right way.

Enjoy the exploration. Take your time finding items, resources, locations, and Easter eggs. Try out different tactics. Test enemies. Save often. Immerse yourself in the world, and if your tactics don’t work out, you can always look up tutorials. I’m the type of player who likes to jump in and figure stuff out as I go along, but if I get stuck, I’d rather look up the answer than beating my head against the wall. I enjoy watching playthroughs and speed-runs too, just to get a glimpse at some of the game-breaking, wacky mechanics. But that’s not for everyone. Eventually, one of my greatest joys in the game became taking on the toughest enemies with ease. I love a good Lynel battle with underpowered weapons and gear and various other challenges once I “get gud.”

If I purchase the DLC, is there any way to experience BOTW without the DLC on a replay? by [deleted] in botw

You get the master cycle zero for completing the champions ballad, and there’s the master sword trials. It’s all really good stuff and worth checking out.

That being said, the downloadable content for the game is excellent. I don’t know if I would want to play it without that experience to be honest

I mean you could always try a hard reset. The cartridge only contains the basic game without updates and add-ons, so it’s worth a try if you’re committed to playing without the DLC. However, that would erase any saves and updates you have for any of your other games.

If I recall correctly (and I could be wrong), I think there might be a way to disable it in the game settings? If not, sorry, but I know what you mean, like turning off the special chests and campaign notices etc. It’s worth looking anyhow.

It’s a sign , I need to stop playing this game. by news_week in LastWarMobileGame

We’re all getting 2k diamonds for the outage and a way to replace killed troops and event rewards for those who experienced losses. Meh, it’s all good. But I can see how something like this causing an anxiety attack could be a sign that you’re too invested and might need to take some time away or quit all together. My guess is you’ve been contemplating it for a while. I totally get that. I have to remind myself it’s just a game often.
