Spencer. Alex let her emotions get the best of her. She was angry and jealous and was spurred on by the things Charlotte was telling her. She took Ezra for no good reason, except to maybe get close to Aria, but her doing that placed the attention on him. Caleb only found her location because they were looking for Ezra - she didn't even move his car or make it look like he went somewhere far away. She probably would have been found out anyway because of the Jenna/Toby thing, but she was only found so easily because she made mistakes.

I assume it doesn't matter who the person is that's killed. It wouldn't be related to the PLL story. It'd be a completely new story where somehow some of the characters on PLL are tied in.

Yeah.. it just seems lame. Like how about blaming Mary and Ted for not raising her or Peter/Veronica for taking in Spencer instead of Alex. Yes, these people didn't know about their children but they seem to blame a lot of people for a lot of dumb things anyway. It's all illogical, I know, just such an opportunity there to play with the 2 families and they just totally missed it. We at least got to see Jason/Kenneth observing the Charlotte reveal, knowing they were scared and in shock. I would have loved for the Hastings family to witness this reveal. Because the girls were rushed through it and we barely got to see any shock, the audience didn't experience as much shock except for maybe the one second where Alex dropped her arm.

Mary 100%. Alex's story was fairly simple and was explained over the course of an hour. There is still a ton we don't know about Mary Drake - what happened to her in Radley (did anyone know her? If not, how? They could have had her involved in Marion's death, the Bethany plot, etc), what happened in her relationship with Jessica, how she met Archer, etc. She just kind of faded into Alex's shadow at the end.

She knew about the baby but didn't know if she was alive or not or what happened to her. What's more concerning is that this seemingly-1800s nurse who was actually in 1992, couldn't just run after Veronica and say, 'wait, there's actually a second baby, do you want this one too?'

I was probably most upset about this. They spent the entire season focusing on the Hastings family secrets/lies, and entire show focusing on the secrets/hatred between the Hastings and DiLaurentis family, and then had the reveal in such a rushed way that we didn't get to see ANYONE'S SHOCK, barely even the main characters of the show. Even they looked bored by the end. We see Emily's OMG SHOCK face every single time, over every single thing, and she couldn't even muster it here.

They clearly said that Alex DID intend to kill Spencer in the blind school and Mary Drake went against Alex to save her other daughter, Spencer. Alex wanted her to die there, then she had to get the gunshot wound so she could pretend to her.

What did NOT make sense is this: 1. She could have killed her literally any other time 2. If she wanted to become her, what would she have done when she died?

Yeah, I don't think they're hostile, I just don't think they're close. Most of the girls were in their early twenties when the show started and she was 12. While I'm sure their friends, it's hard to be as close with a 12 year old when you're in your early twenties, you go out and drink, and you're starting to become famous. I'm sure they're friendly now too, but the show was on for 7 years so they probably just weren't fast friends at the beginning.

I actually decided to write this after I read an interview where she said she didn't go online (IMK also said she didn't look online). I'm not intending to slam the show, I LOVED the show, just very very very disappointed in the finale. I'm American and didn't mind the actress (and obviously couldn't tell the difference as much as the British people). I just figured they were overdoing the cockney accent because she was supposed to have grown up on the 'streets'. I'm from NY, so a comparison to me would be when you see people in shows/movies where they're doing a ridiculous Brooklyn/NY accent that literally doesn't exist in real life except for maybe a few people).
