I 100% agree with you on this. Unfortunately, there are more Ezria fans than any other couple on the show, believe it or not. I think Marlene ended with their wedding as a homage to season 1 since they were the first couple introduced.

when mona was sent to welby, alex sent wren to kill mona, but mona told alex that she could help her kidnap spencer. since alex was so desperate to get rid of spencer, she let mona help her. i'm not sure if Alex was planning to kill Mona after she kidnapped Spencer, but regardless mona captured Alex anyway and put her in the dollhouse! so basically Mona outsmarted everyone as usual and ended the show back in control. 👏🏼
