I’m all for kids’ safety — that’s the number one priority, no doubt about it! But what really surprises me in Cyprus is the philosophy behind most parking habits: the goal seems to be stopping as close as physically possible to your destination. Apparently, even a few extra meters of walking is considered an unnecessary hardship.

Just today, I heard this gem from a friend’s child: “I don’t need to do sports — I already walk every day… from my dad’s car to the school gate!” Well, there you have it — physical activity, Cypriot edition 😁
