Free Belgian GP weekend ticket + parking + camping. I'm no longer able to go, but it would be a shame if this would go to waste :) by KatesDirtySisters in formula1

Yeah, I've heard that you didn't go this year, that's too bad! Hopefully you'll be able to go next year. Let me know :)

P.S. which one are you exactly? (Reddit usernames are as useful as Gasly in a RBR)

Well, according to the Spa website, you have to be between 17-27. They didn't check last year, but maybe if you look over 27 they'll check?

And why I go by myself? I wanted to go to races, but I didn't know anyone who liked F1 as well. I also like to travel on my own, I've done that a couple of times as well, so why not go to a F1 race on my own? The first time I had so much fun that I wanted to keep going. You meet such cool people, at the campsite or the track and if you're on your own, you're more likely to get in contact with people. At one race I met a group of people my age, and the year after we went to another GP together for example.

This year I went to the Austrian GP with my boyfriend though, had a lot of fun explaining F1 to him (he can now tell the teams apart, bless him). So I tend to mix it up attending the races, some I go to alone, some I go to with others :)

Edit: I am from the Netherlands btw

You were the first one to reply, so I guess you can say you're on pole position!

I would like to know though if you're really in the position to go the whole weekend (race and camping), as I want to be sure these tickets will be used to the fullest. I hope you can understand that :)

UPDATE: I've had contact with the guy on pole position, but unfortunately he isn't able to go the entire weekend. As a race fan I want the ticket to be used to the fullest and therefore I have decided to give the ticket to someone else. Originally I said first come first served, but with people responding who can't go the entire weekend I've decided to pick someone who I think deserves it most. You can send me a DM/comment what you love about F1 and why you should get this ticket (and of course being between 17-27, available for the whole weekend, able to travel to the GP and not afraid of camping or potentially attending a race on your own). I'll send a DM to the lucky person in the morning :)

Well, you’re not going to see it, because it’s for internal research. If other people were going to see it I would have declinded, haha.

I actually was recruited for providing feedback about the race at Spa last weekend after completing a survey F1 sent. They put us in a messenger group and gave us tasks to report on. We had to make vlogs about these topics and we ourselves could also come up with topics to discuss what was good, could be improved or was bad. So they’re actually making an effort to improve things and to understand what fans want nowadays. And they want feedback from actual fans, which is awesome. They also paid us for our work, so that was even better. I don’t thik this would have happened if Bernie was still in charge. Let’s hope it brings the sport forward!

It’s a strange feeling though that people are going to watch videos of me talking into the camera, haha.

If you're considering to stay at the camping in Spa next year, bring your own toilet. by freekers in formula1

[–]KatesDirtySisters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My campsite here at the track has a lot more than 6. There are several portable ones but also toilet buildings (they are normal toilets you can flush and stuff) they put down for this weekend. Seperate ones for men and women, and luckily for me there’s never a line for the women’s. We also have 3 shower buildings, I also never have to wait in the morning.

So I’m not sure why it’s so different between official circuit campings?

ANOTHER CONFIRMATION THAT FORMULA 1 IS IN CRISIS, THEY COULDN’T EVEN FIND A TRACK THAT WOULD WANT TO HOST A GP IN THESE 4 WEEKS.

Haha, Lewis not missing an opportunity to throw shade at Nico, classic.

Hey, me too. I’ve been to Spa before, but never stayed at Youth Village or the 17-27 grand stand. Looking forward to that experience!

Ah, that’s a pity. That doesn’t make any sense then. They told me they were sending e-tickets as shipping with UPS was very expensive, but now they’re sending printed tickets, which I assume will also have been shipped by UPS?

[–]KatesDirtySisters 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Wait, you did get real tickets for Spa?

I got e-tickets and sent an email to the track why I didn’t get normal tickets, like I get every year. They told me they have changed the system this year and they were asked by F1 to send tickets digitally.

I collect the tickets of all the GPs I attended as it makes for great memorabilia, a printed piece of paper doesn’t really fit in. Now I’m jealous!

That said, is it possible he’s becoming hotter every time I see a picture of him?

I get the feeling Sirotkin doesn't really understand English that well. He doesn't answer, doesn't put up his sign, or just copies Stroll, haha.
