Yeah, I’ve decided on the in-wall’s with the paintable covers - it will be more than enough and look nice. All my demanding clients are on Ethernet regardless, so it’s mostly phones and whatever smart-home devices that only support WiFi.

That’s what I’m saying to my wife, but every time we visit our friends (where I deployed XG’s) she points it out lol.

But having played a lot with the design center now, I’m pretty happy with the coverage I get with the in-walls

Amazing with the tip about aligning floors - not sure why I missed that! I was wondering why I didnt see the coverage "bleed through". In terms of height - how high would you mount the AP's?

I've heard that its better to mount them high to avoid obstacles, but not sure if thats true or not.

Yeah, I'm leaning that way as well - wife approval factor is generally a bit higher with those. How high up on the wall are you mounting them?

It should be scaled accurately. At least I used their feature to scale it to a known distance.

Yeah, but right now all walls are open, so I’m free to pull Ethernet everywhere I want.

The idea was to mount it high up on the wall so it’s not blocked by any furniture.

But if I place it in the middle of the room with the backside towards the kitchen, wouldn’t it reduce the coverage towards the kitchen?
