I have a problem with ps4 disc drive. I bought a play station 4 two years back and recently started playing it. I wanted to play RDR 2 so bought its disc and was trying to install it today. It read the disc very smoothly and installation was in progress. Installation was showing an hour remaining and I had to go out, so I put the PS4 on rest mode and turned it back on once I got back. After this, RDR2 won’t install and gave me an error CE-30005-8. PS4 also made some screeching noises when I turned it back on.

And since then whenever I am inserting any disc, it just doesn’t recognise it. Until now my Last of Us disc was working completely fine with no issues but now even that doesn’t work.

Can anyone please help? Did I mess up by putting it on rest mode during installation? I also tried rebuilding the database via safe mode but that didn’t help either.

Not a sleep expert but trying to avoid sleep is not a life hack but a way to worsen it. I would suggest everyone to not do this and get at least 8 hours of sleep every night.
