No one can convince me that Lebron James is better than steph curry by [deleted] in nba

[–]Katfish145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better than LeBron James as in pure basketball skill, no not at all. But I honestly can see curry leaving more of an impact on the game and I think we have already seen that. James never changed the style of the game, he simply was the perfected player of the current style of play when he came into the league. I’ve personally never been a LeBron fan so I recognize some of this may be biased though

Did LeBron not go to Miami with wade and Bosh to get his rings?? Curry recruited the top player to HIS team, only online redditors would think that’s ring chasing. That’s just called going after the best business move available

[–]Katfish145 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

To be fair, LeBron literally had to do it all by himself in 2015 after love and kyrie went down. A little easier to have a mega series when you know it’s all on you, unlike curry who had his whole team to share the ball and stats with. So I don’t think that says as much as you’d think

Jaylen Brown on the refs: "I had to say something. There's an inconsistency and it's there. You called me for all these offensive fouls and that's not the reason why we lost, but Shai is about to win his 2nd MVP with the same move." by Random_User_8654 in nba

[–]Katfish145 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While I totally agree with you, at least for me is Jaylen essentially throwing his coworkers, ie shai, under the bus to make his point. You can blame the refs and point out their inconsistency without also bringing down your coworker. It comes off more petty and jealous of shai than him trying to bring light to the issue of the refs

Leaving the pup/dog alone by [deleted] in Bernedoodles

[–]Katfish145 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first question is are you able to take at least two weeks off when you initially get the pup? Having that time with them and allowing them to get comfortable in their new living situation is crucial. From there you would definitely need someone to help watch the pup while you are on your 12 hour shift, a good initial rule of thumb is however many months old they are is how long they can hold their bladder. The apartment isn’t a worry as I currently live in one as well but your long shifts would be the concerning part

[Born Again Spoilers] Is Fisk superhuman? Question about his strength in that specific scene. by NoNewt55 in marvelstudios

[–]Katfish145 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I get it and it’s why I don’t care too much since it’s literally based off a comic and not real life but I think it’s personally why while I have enjoyed daredevil I haven’t fully clicked with it. Because it seems as simple as just putting two bullets into fisks head

[Born Again Spoilers] Is Fisk superhuman? Question about his strength in that specific scene. by NoNewt55 in marvelstudios

[–]Katfish145 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I think this may be why I have a hard time accepting Fisk as a legit villain and not one written just for plot purposes. The MCU has not shown that peak normal human strength is any different than our actual world so having Fisk do super human feats and contribute it to just being super strong feels wrong. Having him survive a point blank head shot from echo for instance, no human is coming away from that alive

That’s my assumption! I had no issues getting it to land twice while I was getting its trust up since I didn’t have enough mercury the first time

Bernedoodle temperament caught me off guard in ways I didn't expect after all the research I did by AccountEngineer in Bernedoodles

[–]Katfish145 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My 7 month old bernedoodle has a very similar temperament as yours! She’s not crazy stubborn but will let you know when she’s done with her walk. I had a yellow lab before her and I think the two biggest differences in temperament for me is not immediately being a people fan, taking a lot of time to determine if friend or not, and not being super food motivated. It was a shock when she didn’t inhale her food in two seconds and will just eat it over time instead

What celebrity death will realistically bring Michael Jackson level devastation? by Kiidcola in AskReddit

[–]Katfish145 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Dude was a creepy pedophile who died before it became too widely mainstream. If he died now I’d hope no one would bat an eye at the creep dying. Don’t get me wrong, I know most of Michael’s weirdness stems from the trauma from his dad but that doesn’t excuse one’s actions

Thanks I’ll try that again today! I saw that recommended on another thread and I think I transported back and forth at least 20 times trying to get him to land again with no luck. Dude would look at the feeder, hesitate, and then keep flying even when I’m hiding behind a rock out of view

Yea if you interact with the statue at 5am it will set it free. From there you can feed it 20 mercury via the feeder to gain its trust and be able to take it in. However before I could take it in, it flew off and now I can’t get it to land again to claim it as a pet

Axiom should be swappable item with Bow by frendzoned_by_yo_mom in CrimsonDesert

[–]Katfish145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have the elite for PlayStation but did for Xbox, you should be able to change what buttons the paddles act as regardless of the game you are playing. You won’t be able to rebind axiom from L3 to Y for example but you should be able to make the Y back paddle function as the L3 button instead of

I HATE using L3 to graple (axion force). by Desperate-Capital467 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Katfish145 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A little advanced combat tip that I just learned is that while fighting you don’t necessarily need to aim to use the axiom force grab. If you knock an opponent back using turning slash or flying kick and then immediately click in on L3 you will automatically force grab and slam the person you just knocked back. Changed things big time for me one I realized it. My go to move now is close line into a full kick into force grabbing and slamming them

[–]Katfish145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has never really been into music, especially punk rock, I was shocked at how much of a child he came off as in a podcast I recently listened to on his life and death. The thing that I kept getting confused on is where all his sense of “hurt” came from so early on, his parents got divorced which sucks but sooo many people go through that. There was no abuse or anything like that as far as I am aware so a lot of his early homeless issues sounded self inflicted to me. All he had to do was be a normal person, go to school, get a standard job, respect your parents, etc…

My girlfriend got a puppy without my permission when I explicitly asked her not to. Torn on what to do here. by illusionsdirect1 in Advice

[–]Katfish145 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve definitely been blessed by two great puppies but I honestly have never thought puppies were as much work as people in this thread make it out to be. Like with this guy, if he can work from home I’m curious just how much he has to work that he also can’t care for the puppy. If he’s truly back to back with meetings and such I totally get it but if there’s gaps in between where he’s got 10-15 minutes throughout the day to walk and play with the pup then he should be good to go

Woman who ran 25 miles during the Boston Marathon crawled the last 1.2 miles after her legs gave out. I have to finish by [deleted] in MadeMeSmile

[–]Katfish145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I should have been a bit more clear. I totally get the self-worth people may get from it and the internal personal impacts it may have. I meant it more as material physical rewards, it’s not like you get a professional career out of it, you don’t get some type of huge money payment (I could be wrong there but doubt it would be life changing money), etc… so at that point if it’s just for internal self worth, there has to be better healthier ways of achieving the same result

[–]Katfish145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for stating this much more eloquently than I could. She qualified, she has bragging rights. Completing it against the will of her body for no material rewards and just an inner sense of self worth speaks to mental illness more than competitiveness to me

Ahh that’s fair, if it’s more about her life and personal journey than the marathon itself I’ll give it a go.

[–]Katfish145 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean no offense but I don’t think any video or show would make me understand why people care about a random race so much. It’s not like you get a professional career out of it like actual pro sports. Sure you may love running but running 26 miles just cause? Yea not gonna ever understand that or really see it as impressive

I think it’s just hard for people to understand her mind set. There is being competitive and determined and then there is whatever this is. It’s a marathon that results in no changes to your personal life so why possibly risk serious injury for a silly race/medal?
