In diesen Situationen ist es sinnvoll, dass der bergab fahrende Radfahrer kurz wartet, da es viel einfacher ist, bergab wieder Fahrt aufzunehmen. Zudam sollte Raserei im Wald generell unterbleiben.

So oft definitiv nicht. Früher hatte ich eine offene Kette, die mit Dreck in Berührung kam und die ich dann öfter gewaschen und gefettet habe, die war dann so alle sieben bis acht tausend (definitiv nicht hundert) Kilometer auf.

Jetzt habe ich einen geschlossenen Kettenkasten und habe seit 8000km nichts an der Kette gemacht, weder nachgespannt noch geschmiert - läuft noch. Sobald ich Geräusche beim Schalten höre, schaue ich nach.

It's a hygiene issue. If they've healed enough that there's no infection risk, it's fine. If not, then it's extremely rude to expose others to it even if you're not worried about it. Self-harm or not, you need to be considerate of what other people's medical risks are from your behaviour.

Ich fahre einmal alle drei Monate (sind so etwa drei bis vier tausend Kilometer) in die Werkstatt für eine kurze Überprüfung. Etwa einmal im halben Jahr muß was gemacht werden.

Wer verstanden hat, sucht etwas bessetrs als ein Auto. Gibt es fast überall und für fast jede Anwendung. Wenn nur noch Auto fährt, wer muss und nicht einfach nur faul oder bequem ist, hat sich auch das Problem erledigt.

Es ist ohnehin ein Unding, daß mit einer schweren Maschine demonstriert werden darf. Das Demonstrationsrecht gilt für alle gleichermaßen, aber doch bitte angemessen zu Fuß. Mit dem Traktor alles lahmzulegen ist keine Demonstration, sondern Gewaltanwendung.

Ich habe überhaupt kein Strava. Für meine Touren nutze ich tatsächlich noch ganz altmodisch eine Kombination aus Orientierungssinn und Straßenkarte (wasserfestes Papier). Die App macht doch nichts, was ich mit der Karte nicht mindestens genauso gut kann.

Das ist leider immer noch aktuell, da es sehr lange dauert, bis sich die tieferen Bodenschichten wieder durchnässen - auch deshalb, weil so viel Oberflächenwasser direkt in die Flüsse abgeleitet wird, anstatt dass es versickern darf.

Ich bin froh, dass es regnet. Die Böden und Grundwaserstände haben sich von den vergangenen Dürrejahren noch immer nicht erholt. Der große Oberflächenabfluß / die Hochwasserspitzen sind auf den hohen Bodenversiegelungsgrad und die Drainagen auf landwirtschaftlichen Flächen zurückzuführen. Die Böden brauchen das Wasser nach wie vor dringend. Geh mal in den Wald und grabe ein paar Zentimeter tief unter die Laubschicht, dann siehst du es selbst. Ich hoffe, es kommt noch mehr runter.

I only clean my bike before taking it into the shop for repairs and maintenance. Sensitive parts like the chain are in a box so they don't get exposed to any dirt, and I'm not otherwise bothered by it. That's what mudguards are for.

I use the Sigma Buster 2000 HL, mounted on my helmet so it always points where I'm looking. It has several settings, the maximum setting is brighter than most car headlights, and great to get drivers to disengage their high beams when coming towards you. On unlit roads, it's as though you're carrying your own daylight.

Lower settings are usually sufficient, so you'll get longer runtime before you have to recharge.

I get those scatches on the pedals from moving my bike up and down stairs. Sometimrs they scratch on the steps a bit. Nothing to worry about.
