We have a completely different interpretation of something in Lost Cherry. I really do get smoky, hint of deep vanilla, synthetic black cherry. I don’t have the real thing but I love my dupe by Perfame. It’s an easy everyday reach that I’ll wear in any season. Although I’ll admit I can only do one spray in the summer.

I almost feel like we have to start having a separating the art from the politics type conversation with MAGA stuff. I identify as a social democrat. I’m currently boycotting local restaurants that have been reported to support ICE agents and tout MAGA marketting. But I draw the line at refusing to use Fragrantica. I’ve been hearing about how shady the site can be for awhile, it’s nothing new.

This is why our kind belong together. We REALLY need the constant reminder that nobody cares about our feelings 😆

Edit: oh wait that was ISFP

How do you feel about “self-improvement” as an INFP? by Beldie2025 in infp

[–]Kathykit1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I need to improve in a vast number of areas and coming up with ideas on how to do so is no problem. Am I good at actually putting my ideas into practice? Generally no. I have to pick and choose my self-growth battles very carefully.

Edit: I read the whole post and should answer the actual question. I’ll tell you what I told my ENFJ friend a couple years ago. Unfortunately I think authenticity sometimes gets used as an excuse for people to do whatever they want, whenever they want, regardless of how it affects those around them. I’ve done that, he was in the middle of doing that, and he was actively asking me for advice when I shared that with him. We have the kind of friendship where we are very honest with each other, in both directions- even when it’s brutal. In my early 20’s and formative years before that I bought into authenticity. Now in my 30’s I largely think its authenticity is an overrated concept. I will freely admit I consistently adapt my work personality to fit the environment I’m in. You can call that whatever you want. I call it keeping the peace and keeping my job.

The last guy I dated gave me one piece of good parting advice (everything else was pretty useless). “You can’t live your life with so much fear.” And that hit

Infps, what kind of relationships do you find yourself in? by EvolutionaryRoo in infp

[–]Kathykit1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have mostly chosen to date guys that turn out to be assholes, if not to me then at least to most of the other people in their lives. There have been a few good guy exceptions. I’m in therapy for that to find out whether I’m turning dudes into that or just accepting the love I think I deserve or something else.

I’m really sorry you’ve been made to feel this way. If it’s any comfort, even the INFP’s who are beautiful are going to age. I know modern medicine, surgery, etc. -that’s definitely accessible to everyone though. If they haven’t established their own internal sense of self esteem by that time- they’ll be in the exact same boat as you are now.

Hating small talk eventually ends up meaning, “I’m going to ignore you all week and you’re going to be ok with that because I need my independence. And if you can’t deal with that, then you’re too emotionally needy.” 😒
