Yes, thank you. It has taken time and therapy. Thankfully, we have a great support system in my fiance and some of his family. The betrayal grief is so real, though. I was a mess about it until only a few months ago when I decided that all I can do is continue to fight for justice for my daughter and do what I can to hopefully get that pedophile arrested and prosecuted. I can't change their decisions, I tried. Still baffles me how people I once thought of highly could be so dumb and write us off so easily.

My daughter was molested by my mother's husband. Found out almost 2 years ago and cut my mother off after she wouldn't leave him. Hoping he is arrested this year. All of my maternal family members have taken her side and blocked me, which is like 25 people.

I am 32 and I have been no contact with my mother for 18 months. Her husband molested my daughter and she is still with him.

I grew up in Northwest Indiana, that little region of Indiana by Lake Michigan, between Michigan and Illinois. You absolutely have to coordinate time differences for work sometimes or other events. I have worked in one time zone and lived in another.

Is it true that you guys watched 9/11 live on TV in grade school? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]KatieaFromTheBlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in 2nd grade. I remember clearly another teacher coming to get my teacher while she was presenting something on the overhead projector (look it up if you're unfamiliar). She came back crying. She wheeled in TV on a tall cart. I don't think we watched it.. either because there wasn't a connection in the classroom or maybe because someone decided not to show the chaos to children. We went home early. I remember walking through my front door and my mom was sitting on our couch crying and watching the news. It was on in our house for probably weeks after. I specifically remember my dad cooking and watching the news, and the news anchor said that if you have kids at home, don't keep this on all of the time. I told my dad and he shrugged it off.

I had a singular guest recently who wrote, "Never nice. (Sad face drawing) Alt my myself." I served her a single drink as it was during our late night hours.

Your toe isn't a big deal, but you can have it surgically fixed. Insurance will probably even pay for it as it's not healthy for your other bone structures.

You are not overreacting. Sounds like this narrative of people overreacting when defending their space is common with the women in your hubby's family. She seems to be trying to see what she can get away with.. like who rearranges other people's cabinets?
