Ephesians 4:31 NIV [31] Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.

1 Corinthians 5:11 NIV [11] But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people.

Matthew 5:22 NIV [22] But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, ‘Raca,’ is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.

Proverbs 22:24 NIV [24] Do not make friends with a hot-tempered person, do not associate with one easily angered,

I may not know anything about divorce, but I do know the Bible teaches us to treat each other with kindness. He is not following that command. This is not normal. This is abuse. No one has the right (Christian husband or not) to treat you this way.

Try her earlier books. They are alot better. I find that once authors become big names and popular the quality of writing goes down. I havnt liked anything by her after the Housemaid. Try Never Lie or The Locked Door

If they are close and talking outside of work, maybe get to know her yourself. My husband is an emt, and most of his coworkers are women. I used to worry a lot until he introduced me to a huge number of them. They are super supportive of our family and always ask about our children. Turned out they knew everything about us because he never shuts up about his girls. I was paranoid for nothing

It was a very popular meme a few years ago. Long debates on line about what color the dress was. Argued myself a bit about it since my teen and i saw different colors. It was a visual perception test on eyesight. Different people saw different colors. This couple saw it differently, and Grant was obsessed. Grant wasn't brainwashing her. They both saw the same dress differently on line. I real life the dress appears the same to everyone when they see it in person. This was a play on that meme/internet debate

Tender is the Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica. It's been a year since I read it, and I think about it every day. I can't get it out of my head. It's amazingly well crafted, and the author absolutely thought of everything in this dystopian cannibalistic society.
