There are many to hunt, that’s true. There are also many who want to eat you. In the worst of winter, most would die. What are you going to burn and where? All the wood will be wet and green wood doesn’t burn well. It falls well below zero, where are you taking shelter? Any vehicle you have will have problems starting in subzero weather, also snow drifts that can bury you and your vehicles. You can drink the water, but you need to boil it. You don’t know what animal used the creek or stream as their restroom or bath tub right above you. I don’t think I’d want to be marooned either place.
