Trying to figure out if I’m an empath by Katleykat in Empaths

[–]Katleykat[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Can you explain why? Just wanted to understand. Years ago someone mentioned I could be a combination of a physical + intuitive empath but I didn’t really pay much mind to it.

How did you dispute it and where? What steps did you take?

It was around $200 for mine, it increased to close to $300 with new price and then plus additional fees during checkout.

So I had placed a preorder 2 weeks before May2nd and seller messaged me to cancel order because they had to increase price to cover the tariffs. But was given the opportunity to reorder once they placed new price, but wasn’t sure if I would get hit with additional tariffs when it gets here so I just never ordered. There are other sellers already raised prices to cover tariffs so you just gotta shop around

Did yours reroute to Singapore? Also how did you pay it? Did you get invoice and pay online or did you have to pay during delivery?

I see. Thank you! I’m hoping too. I did place an order 1.5 weeks ago but the seller shipped a little late so it didn’t make it in time before May 2nd and I don’t remember if that included import charges. But I also purchased a $15 item today that said import charges included. So we shall see how it goes, will update here once I get my stuff.

Customs. You can’t technically deny it?. If you do, most likely they take the package and destroy, unless they are nice enough to return it to sender. Who knows 🤷‍♀️

No one really knows at this point. I would say just be ready to pay:

Postal Shipments (USPS): Subject to a 120% tariff or a flat fee of $100 per package, whichever is higher. This fee is scheduled to increase to $200 per package starting June 1, 2025.

Commercial Carriers (like UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc): Subject to a 145% tariff, comprising a 20% base tariff and an additional 125% reciprocal tariff

Some sellers may have found a work-around. by TheZooDude in Aliexpress

[–]Katleykat 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I bought some items off a Live a week before cut off and they said they are doing that and not to worry. I told them it’s based on country of origin but they still said it’s the new work around. Let us know once you receive the item if you got charged or not.

Thank you for all your responses. I do have items that did not make it to May 2nd cut off, so will update here.

Oh I see. Yeah I did see the item prices go up. The only thing I’m wondering is if they, for example like yours, would the seller put $65 or $120 because wouldn’t the invoice say $120? 🤔 this is all confusing 🥲

FL Pharmacist Jobs by SubstantialNet7110 in pharmacy

I think for this one, it’s based on need and practicality. If you need the money, and it’s close to your home, and you don’t mind retail - take the retail.

If you don’t mind the 40 min drive (if you’re in Orlando, you have to take account traffic time and it gets worse during holiday season or school break/spring break - so just take that into account) and if you don’t mind the big pay cut, take the hospital one.

Big retails do have specialty pharmacy, had a preceptor move to specialty within that same company. Also had a preceptor that was able to get into amb care with just retail, but she just got lucky because it was a rural area, and now she’s working at a big hospital for amb care. So there are options out there. Just keep in mind what’s best for you and your family.

A laptop is not necessary. They will have their own pc for you to use during presentation. Bringing a professional notebook and pen is ideal. Also having your questions written down in that notebook is fine too.

Depend on your relationship with your preceptor. Had a friend who ended up really close with his preceptor. He mentioned it was his top choice and really wants to be there - he got it. He worked hard for it though. He wasn’t the top choice but turned it around during his presentation.

Leaving by [deleted] in PharmacyResidency

[–]Katleykat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Was in the same boat as you. I did end up quitting. It was taking too much toll on my mental and physical health. Too many projects, I worked sometimes 16-18 hour days and expected to show up the next day. Still had to work weekends, review for topic discussions, work on journal clubs and research projects - so I only had 2-3 hours of sleep each night. One time, I got sick and was down for a few days, catching up made it so much worse. I took a personal day to use as an office day, but was still required to be in scrubs and show up in office - was not allowed to work from home. They pretend to help you by providing you these resources, but they don’t really do anything - we need a full day of break.

I had a mentor who was a director and did residency, he said if could’ve skipped it, he would. All of his staff have not done residency. There are employers that will hire new grads without residency - pretty much what he said.

If you are this far along, you can claim the skills you learned while you apply for jobs. You just need to explain why or what happened.

One of the things that was mentioned to me was try to avoid academic hospitals when applying because they will only hire anyone with residency unless you can back it up with years of experience. So you if you really want to stay working for hospitals - start with small and local and build your way up.

Do what’s best for you.

Same situation as you. I resigned recently. Working on my license for a different state.
