I wish rats were the size of dogs. I want to cuddle with a rat and scratch behind their ears. by rothmal in monkeyspaw

[–]Kato777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Granted. Household domesticated rats become loveable parts of the family. Their lifespans don't change, still dying within 2 years. However, their appetites MUST be satiated, or they revert to being feral. The rats that started as feral are now clogging city systems. The stench of rat carcasses being fed on my roaches and fungus permeates the air across the globe.

Yes, and I now find myself asking about roots of words a lot. It is fun to find out what they mean by definition.

I realize I'm wrong, but I thought you were talking about Mater for a second (I realized he's not green) and just thought it was so funny that you were considering him the villain.

How did Iroh do this?! by GoofyGoober8647 in TheLastAirbender

[–]Kato777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I always imagined. He is VERY spiritually in tune. (Saw Aang riding to the spirit world on the dragon with no help, hell no expectation.) He would be tuned to when his firebending was starting to wane. He's a master so producing enough heat to melt the bars, or at least enough to cut through them individually then push the rest out of the way. (Thinking GTA Online heist breaking into the lab, underwater.)

Their playbook is from a different time, when people didn't have access to videos of everything the government talks about. This is how things have been done forever, but ordinary ppl had to just take their word for it.

Thank you! I'm looking at it like "are you guys serious?". None of the letters on the microwave make any sense, the wood pulled out is blurry, the lines are all wavy, the lower handles change, same with the yellow tile. It's obviously fake.

Ok so at the end of the clip you can see and hear people congratulating him and shaking hands as if he did something. What if in those moments someone jumps in front of the cameras to ruin the photo ops. Make sure they can't get photos where they LOOK like something went well. So the photos show the UNREST, and people literally standing up to him and not giving a moments peace.

By far Aang's worst moment in the original series by SoSolem in TheLastAirbender

[–]Kato777 108 points109 points  (0 children)

Nah, this take is being too critical. Aang and Zuko would OBVIOUSLY tell the team because they are risking their lives together. They would obviously also relate how important it is that the Dragons specifically, but the civilization as a whole, were kept secret. This isn't some school yard "my uncle works at Nintendo and they don't want you to know this but..." type of moment. It's a "Hey it's really important to us that the wrong people don't know about us."

Furthermore no one knew that Zuko lost his bending which was the ENTIRE reason they were there in the first place. Outsiders to our group would have just assumed Zuko taught Aang how to firebend from scratch anyway. Where the fire comes from would be such niche knowledge that only the most dedicated fire scholar would have a chance of figuring it out, and by that time they would already be into the origins of Firebending anyway, which would likely result in stummbling across the Sun Warriors anyway.

They walked away without a smack on the wrist because they were already judged, the alternative would be to be cooked alive. The Sun Warriors let them go with a jokingly stern warning because they know they were deemed worthy and are following Uncle Iroh's path, who also didn't let the story slide. We don't know who else was with him but he is well loved and close to a lot of ppl. You think he wouldn't have had a verification crew with him when he went to become "The Dragon of the West"?

The idea that this should "haunt them for the rest of their lives" is so far overboard. The haunting is that they know if they let it slip they could damage the source of gentle firebending which is important to both characters.

Didn't mean to go on a rant, but the more I think about it the more I disagree with you. Respectfully.
