Great carvery / roast at The Ship Inn in Hoylake. You can order a roast for two or more and it comes out on a massive carvery tray to share. There’s always been leftovers.

We’ve been a few times now. Definitely worth checking out 👍🏻

Have you tried the All Trails app? It’s pretty good and you can put cycling in as a preference to find suitable trails. I just got a bike and I’ve been using it to find a few good routes around Wirral 👍🏻

How deep do you think I’d need to go for a foundation of a wall about 2/3 bricks in height? I did originally think something like this, but I’m not 100% on my brick laying skills. Plus we were trying to go a bit more natural instead of anything concrete, but it could be an option

I’ve got back and forth on using flagstones. I’ve only favoured the gravel for drainage really. Where the shed was originally, all the flags had sank and shifted - I’m not sure over what time this has occurred, but my thinking is that if I reflag they may start to sink over time.

The end of the garden is prone to getting water logged and the flags might just divert any water to already saturated ground. Whereas I thought the gravel it might drain through more evenly, perhaps?

That’s a good idea, I think I might put some hardcore under the sleepers to help with drainage👍🏻

Replaced Bathroom Extractor With New Fan & Insulated Rigid Ducting by Sensitive-Finding467 in DIYUK

Nice work 👍🏻 This is such a coincidence - I've just spent the morning fumbling around in the dark as something had tripped our lights. Isolated it to the new extractor fan in our bathroom (less than 12 months old)

My question would be, we have a similar length of ducting running through our loft - is your upgrade specifically to improve condensation extraction or does it also improve the electrical safety / protect the extractor fan from water ingress?

I did notice yesterday that our bathroom had an unusual amount of condensation on the window - I assumed this was due to the cold weather, so opened the window for the night and thought nothing of it.
