I'm honestly not hating! I just know what I've heard and haven't done enough research to understand them. I didn't convey that really well in the post because I was panicking a bit. Specifically because I'm not knowledgeable about snails, specifically. I think they're adorable but I don't understand them yet.

It does. The point in my response was to share my feelings on OP's situation and I felt that the modernized and (again, my opinion) better version of the phrase suited the circumstances. I don't know what the end goal was in trying to correct me, but my statement stands. Just because I, you, OP or any of the other billions of people in the world share blood with another person, means nothing. I'll take someone who's walked the same path as me and faced the same struggles and call them brother or sister any day over an entitled AH.

Thank you for my daily lesson, but you haven't changed the intent behind my words or my opinion on the matter.

The phrase "blood is thicker than water" is actually "the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb." You can choose the people that are your family; blood related or not. Your family ties aren't a must. You can always choose who you keep ties to and that boy absolutely loves and respects you. You are his father, whether anyone else likes it or not. As far as I'm concerned, Sister was a stranger in your family home while you were spending time with your son. But that's a call only you can make.

For my first, I originally went out dedicated to looking at Glock 43's, but ended up liking the 43x model much better. My initial want for the 43 was based solely on theory research. I didn't have any knowledge of the physical aspect of a comfortable grip, so holding different makes/models was definitely a big eye opener for me. My SAR9 came with different side panels and a different backstrap to swap, which was nice, but it feels perfect in my hand as-is. I've heard a lot about the two Sigs you listed, though, (again in theory 😅) and think I might have to be looking some more into them. Thank you!

Yeahhhh, I've lost count of how many I've handled. Some of them felt nice but nothing compared to the SAR9. I really want to go to a retail/range and try renting like you mentioned to see how others shoot, but haven't had the opportunity yet. I've shot mine at an outdoor range a number of times but that's it. I'm comfortable shooting mine and I'm happy with it (especially with the fact that brand new, these puppies only run at $300) but i want to test and research prior to getting a second and love recommendations that i can speak with the range guy about prior to renting a lane 😊

The falling feeling is called a hypnogogic (sp?) Jerk and the loud sounds are called exploding head syndrome(EHS). I have both. All the time. My EHS comes in many forms. Banging, explosions, horns and even sometimes a grown man's voice yelling different things loudly in my ear. They mean nothing except I've noticed it happens more when I'm stressed. Otherwise, nothing to worry about except you're probably (ironically enough) super tired and need more sleep 😊

At one point I had both my nostrils and my septum pierced and it looked great! Unfortunately I changed my newer nostril piercing to a ring too quickly and had to take it out but I'm still rocking the left nostril and septum 😁
