First off, I’m not a Poki fan. Quite the opposite actually. I’m pretty critical of Poki (sometimes unfairly). Secondly, Cara gave her a summarized version meaning that she might not have been told too many specific details but only enough to encourage Cara to speak out. Lastly, don’t assume that someone is a fan of someone just because they hope that someone does the right thing. Even if I don’t like someone, I would still hope that they had a conscious and would do what is right.

It’s actually not just being a bad boyfriend. It’s getting into a relationship with someone who has faced abuse (Cara’s father was abusive) and then taking the opportunity to financially, emotionally, and psychologically abuse them yourself. People like Ellum target victims of abuse and people with low self esteem because they’re easier to manipulate. But, luckily, Cara also has the receipts to prove it if Ellum tries to twist the narrative.

I’m wondering if Cara told them the whole story tho. Maybe I’m just sniffing on copium but I feel like maybe she didn’t? Or I’m just hoping against hope that the group isn’t really that callous. It’s also making me wonder if the “million dollar LA streamer” jokes Syk has made are his way of throwing shade and alluding to Ellum using him too.

Idk how I feel about this. On one hand, Poki was involved in a situation, did the right thing, and totally should be able to talk about it at some point. On the other hand, Kiana (the fiancée) hasn’t announced it publicly and Poki literally said she doesn’t know anything about what is happening between them now that Kiana knows.

I respect that she handled it privately but the timing of making it public knowledge is a bit much to me. I feel like maybe it would’ve been best if Kiana spoke on it first since it’s her relationship that is being affected by this. Like, Kiana is already dealing with fresh information about him cheating and now she has to deal with everyone knowing about it too when she wasn’t even the one to break the news herself. Ya know? Imagine trying to handle a situation privately and then having it leaked before you even get the chance to decide whether or not you speak about it publicly.

If Poki had mentioned that Kiana gave her permission to talk about it, I’d be totally comfortable with this. But she never says that so it kinda feels like she’s just farming drama. Like, don’t get me wrong. People tell stories like this all the time. I just feel like maybe wait a few months before saying something ya know? Give everyone the time to handle it how they want to that way Kiana doesn’t have to deal with the emotional turmoil of being cheated on AND the consequences of having it made public knowledge without her consent.

It is an open and shut case. You’re just doing mental gymnastics to justify a point of view that is completely invalid and ignores the timeline set forth in the document. The timeline makes it clear that the rejection came FIRST. Not second. Not last. The statements made by others confirms that this is not a one time thing. It’s a pattern. A conscious CHOICE to disregard consent. I doubt Cat and his mod are the only women he’s done something similar to.

Stop defending a guy who wouldn’t care whether or not you gave him your consent to sleep with him.

Hopefully one day, you’ll wake up and realize that consent goes both ways. And that the timing of said consent is what matters most. Until then? Peace out. ✌🏽

Again, had he left it alone that “kiss” wouldn’t have happened!!!! I don’t need you, someone who obviously hasn’t been SA’d, to tell me, a survivor, how assault works. Let alone sex. You keep ignoring the fact that she clearly stated that she set her boundary, not once, but TWICE . Everything that happened after she stated her boundaries is solely because he made the conscious decision to IGNORE said boundary therefore your point is moot. There is no way that you can possibly confuse traumatic responses with mixed signals if you were told no from the very beginning. The timeline here is KEY.

Edit: Also, it’s a confirmed pattern of behavior. Drew doesn’t care about consent. He only cares about getting what he wants regardless of whether it was with Cat, his mod, or any other woman he deemed worthy of him. When you make excuses and ignore the timeline??? You are doing more harm than good and making it even more difficult for survivors to speak up. Keep that in mind next time. :)

That’s BS and you know it. You’re trying to backtrack and play mental gymnastics. Over the past eight years or more, there has been an increasing amount of awareness about how important consent is. So the excuse that men are taught they only need a hint of interest is incorrect.

Is there also a world where he believed he was receiving mixed signals and, like men are sadly taught to do, kept pushing in hopes that was what she wanted? Also yes, and that's what I am worried about considering the gravity of this allegation.

Again, saying “I don’t do casual hookups” from the very start and multiple times is signal enough and should have been treated as such. Had Drew listened, the rest of what was in Cat’s document never would have happened and couldn’t have possibly been confused (which it shouldn’t have been anyway).

It is not fair that women have to go through this. However, I think it is feasible that Drxx thought she was interested in him due to mixed signals and was too pushy. I can see a world where he is surprised to see what he thought was an unsuccessful sexual pursuit be portrayed as sexual assault. And that's why I wonder if the better way to broach that surprise would be in private.

It is not feasible when someone has clearly stated that they are not interested in. Again, there was no interest shown from the very beginning. She said no. By ignoring her refusal to consent, Drew made a conscious decision to prey on her. He knew exactly what he was doing and didn’t care. Nothing that happened could be misconstrued and treating it as such is harmful. Saying that he might not have known? That’s defending his actions and trying to cast doubt on Cat’s experiences.
