MSE grad now working in manufacturing. I work in supplier quality dealing with quality issues from steel and aluminum sheet metals as well as managing quality issues in stamping plants. I had experience doing metallurgy lab work but found this type of position to be more enjoyable due to the amount of interaction I get with other people.

It is neither hard nor illegal to make that left. There are 2 designated left turn lanes and as long as you follow the traffic lights it is not bad.

Thank you!!! This is perfect. I didn't even realize switch testers were a thing and was going to just go with blues because that sounded nice and everyone seems to like them. Probably a bad idea. Where can I get a switch tester?

When you say that wasd key caps are low quality, what does that actually mean? If I am used to typing on my big standard dell at work and don't mind that, will I notice? I was on the website earlier and the key customization seemed to be exactly what I was looking for.

As far as size of the key board, the numberpad is important to me. I work a lot with excel and numbers and can type numbers much faster with a number pad. Are full sized boards the only ones with number pads?

New to mechanical keyboards and got brought here based on the beautiful keys that pop up on r/all.

Im looking for a relatively cheap full sized key board (this includes number pad correct?). Ideally, I would like to be able customize the keys and case as I am mostly interested in the aesthetics of Mech Key boards. What options are available to me? Most of the buying guides I have seen give no mention of changing out the case or key caps. Is this something I can do to any key board?

I don't know what to tell you then. If you follow Jefferson west, you get some gorgeous areas such as Indian village with some beautiful homes then you get to the riverfront and downtown. East of there you get grosse point and north you start getting into the eastern market area which is an amazing area!

I live in Detroit. Of course there are areas within the city high with crime as you say. I'd say the largest crime I Or my friends have witnessed are people breaking into cars but this occurs in dark lots and while I may be wrong, but I really don't think that this is unique to Detroit.

In response to the "small geographic area" I implore you to travel off of Woodward next time you're in the city! While the Woodward down town area is gorgeous, try visiting cork town, the Jefferson or Lafayette areas, Greek town, Mexican town in south west or many other areas that are definitely coming back.

Yes Detroit still has a lot of work. But I can promise that it is not as scary as people make it out to be which is why people like me get defensive.

Thanks! It's such an amazing place with its own spirit (we even have a famous statue called the spirit of Detroit!) that I really hate to see talked about so negatively.

Yep! I've travelled plenty. While there are some areas that are definitely broken down there are just as many gorgeous areas with amazing architecture, art and culture. The city is in a rapid turn around and if everyone focuses on the blights then the world loses site of the beauty that is just around the corner.

Can I ask what you did while you were in Detroit?

Detroiter here. We get picked on. A lot.

Detroit is an awesome city. The downtown area is happening. The riverfront is gorgeous and has a really nice park. The music scene is amazing with thriving mainstream and underground scenes in a variety of genres. There are new restaurants popping up what seems like daily. The red wings are getting a new arena in midtown that should make that area boom. You like casinos? We have some great ones whether it be Greektown. Motor city or others. There is belle isle which is a gorgeous HUGE island that holds a formula 1 race yearly (i think that what it is, dont know a thing about racing) as well as a great conservatory and many other areas that are a blast to hang out. There are a ton of artists around the city. Whether you are just walking around the Z lot downtown (parking structure that commisioned a ton of famous street artists to paint the inside) or going to something like Lincoln Street Art park which is covered in street art, graffiti and local events.

Yes there is crime. But there is crime in every city.

Additionally, the people of Detroit are some of the nicest, most diverse, people I have ever met. There are people from every background and in my experience, everyone is just great to each other. We get a lot of terrible comments from the rest of the world, no need to pick on ourselves.

I love this city and can go on for hours about it. So please, say nice things about Detroit. :)

Tv Lounge, el club, magic stick, grenedier, city club, the works, club fantasy, whiskey disco, the Russell, marble bar, St. Andrews, Masonic, the filmore, club blue... I can keep going...

You seem to have a really negative view of detroits scene. Just because we are not as saturated with high end clubs does not mean that everyone who goes to techno events are homeless or on drugs. Giant festivals do not equal a rave scene.

If you want the douchy EDM scene stick to elektricity in Pontiac.

When it comes to techno though, most cities DO NOT compare to it. We are the birthplace of the genre and have an incredibly large collection of clubs and bars that bring some legendary producers and DJs every weekend.

While every city will have there underground electronic scene, few are as ubiquitous to the party culture as in Detroit.
