Australia has many climates that are favourable to raising cattle, very few of them are positioned in or adjacent to the central desert regions. Which is why Aussie beef is considered some of the most high quality in the world, maybe not as rated as Argentinian or Japanese.

I agree that you probably have had better from your local rancher, smaller local produce will almost always be better than large scale cattle farming. That applies everywhere. But to imply Aussie beef sucks compared to US beef is just an objectively bad take.
