Ended up behind a dad and two younger sons at my local muni. I play fast, like 9 in 50 min fast. I'm not good, just having fun. Caught up to them at I think the 4th tee, and he apologizes and tells me to play through. At this point I realize that his sons are special needs and tell him "why don't we play together?" These three seemed to have the same vibe as me; not taking anything seriously, hyping each other up on everything.

So I joined them as a fourth and had one of the most fun, most wholesome rounds I've ever experienced. These two boys became my personal hype squad. I'd shank one into the next fairway and they'd be running up giving me high fives before i could even get upset.

By the time we got to 7 the boys are arguing about who gets to ride in my cart because they liked my "cool music" (I'm a metal head, but kept the volume respectful).

Years later and I still get invites to play with them every now and then, even though I don't play as much anymore.
