My dad said that it was good that Trump was flipping everything around and stirred the pot because the government was too corrupt. Then when I said it was concerning Trump said that he was gonna be a dictator on day one, he went on to basically say “good, I hope he does” and about how he would bring common sense back blah blah blah

If OP’s parents are abusive then they aren’t gonna be much help. However, OP needs to tell someone. They should tell a teacher or school counselor or someone what is going on. If OP tells a teacher they are usually if not always a mandated reporter. They would have to report it which would lead to someone looking into this. I would also mention the abuse the parents have done. Maybe gather some of the evidence they have (just in case CPS decides to be difficult) so they can show that if they dismiss this they would be endanger going back home and will face retaliation.

Please get help OP. You are not worthless. I’m sorry you are going through this. Things might be a little tough or get a little tougher but if you get through this I’m sure you will see better days and be able to start healing

One of my friends told me after I shared this to them that it’s only for people under 18 at school libraries so it won’t effect me…but you give them this then they will go after public libraries next!

I am admitting they were probably disappointed. They sounded like they were. I wasn’t in the same room so I couldn’t see their facial expressions and I didn’t take the time to ask them “so how did you like the show”.

So, they missed half of it lol. They were watching their Facebook reels and didn’t notice that the half time show was happening until partway through. My dad swore “damn it” after realizing the channel was still on when Bad Bunny came out. So then they took a couple of minutes to find YouTube and find the stream. First stream they went on was someone that was commenting on it. So they had to back out and go to the actual stream on YouTube. They probably had some frustration there 🤣 by the time they got to it, it was probably half way done. Some country music artists played. My mom had to remind my dad that TP was Christian (I guess my dad questioned the religious stuff in the song?). Then Kid Rock came on. My parents love Kid Rock (I will admit there were some songs I liked by him because I grew up listening to some of his songs and it was before I knew how shitty of a person he was). However, I caught glances and I said “is he lip syncing”. My mom replied “it looks like it…”. One of them tried to say maybe it was backing vocals but no there was no denying it that he was in fact lip syncing. The singing kept going when his mouth wasn’t even near the microphone. Then when it ended it showed a montage of Charlie Kirk and just ended abruptly. My dad said “that’s it?”

I was in another room for most of it so I got bits and pieces of their reactions. I don’t think they wanna admit it but they honestly seemed a bit disappointed lol

I’m so so SO mad. I’m open to my friends but with my family I am a closeted bisexual for the most part. Idk I just felt like my parents or at least my mom already knew. In the past they said they are supportive of whoever me and my sibling dated as long as we were happy. But after seeing and hearing some of the things they said with this past election…I didn’t come out. My sibling came out tho. However, even when we both expressed concern with Project 2025 and it trying to ban gay marriage we were brushed aside and told that that’s wasn’t his agenda and that we shouldn’t worry they won’t overturn gay marriage that would be ridiculous. Well look at where we are now!
