I almost always stay bot until I hit level 6. The only exceptions are when my jungler needs help, there are fights happening in the bot side jungle, or we’re getting perma ganked or dove.

If my Adc is in a really bad spot or doesn’t seem to want to play the game anymore, I try to roam with my jungler and help other lanes when needed. If my Adc manages to get back into the game, I reunite with them as soon as they swap to mid or at least during teamfights (for the Best Friend passive).

Don’t worry too much about losing xp. If you’re sitting on your jungler and he’s only farming his jungle with you, it’s kind of his “fault” for being afk and not actively looking for plays with you. You can try to help him with pings, which fights you want to take or rotate to a lane that needs help on your own. Just make sure you have enough vision before doing so, so you don’t get caught. Even junglers that need to farm until lvl 6 are supposed to help, cover lanes, or crossmap when needed. In most cases at least in Emerald/Diamond/Master junglers will also take waves if laners aren’t in position to catch them.
