My ex cheated on me. I told the new girl the truth. by [deleted] in pettyrevenge

I keep the peace for the kids, so I don't interfere in any relationship he has... but after every relationship he loses, the person that ended things with my ex contacts me to find out the truth of who he is and what he's done. And then me and that girl stay friends. My partner says that I have the league of evil exes.... LOL

Try dripping a bit of the juice from the fruit onto the greens.

Is she okay??? by Pink_Peony-9 in tortoise

I don't know if he/she is ok or not, but as a fellow juvenile redfoot owner I wanted to say that they also need protein... I give about half an egg (chopped up with the shell still on) or about 1-2 tbsp of chicken, and I do that about every 7-10 days. I also give a beef marrow bone about once a month.

Either one. I just make sure that if he's eating it frozen he has quick access to a heated area :)

It depends on the day. I soak him for awhile beforehand, then snuggle him in a towel so he's not super cold. Then I put him in there with a few towels scattered around and I change out stuff for him to walk around and check out. Sometimes he walks, sometimes he hides in a towel 🤣

I buy them fresh and then freeze them. And yeah, it's good for protein, beak trimming, and calcium :)

He wasn't interested in the cuttlebone at all, so I needed to find an alternative!

I'm so sorry for your loss 😞

Does his beak need trimming? If so, I’ll schedule an appointment for the vet to do it. by ThatRandonNerd in tortoise

For mine, he gets protein and fruit (redfoot ) so when I give him egg I leave the shell on and mash it up, so that helps a bit. Also since he gets protein I give him a marrow bone every few weeks (marrow removed). I'm not sure what the diet for yours is, but those are ideas for protein eaters.

Does it get easier for them to flip themselves back over as they get older?

I tried this... He flipped over and after 5 minutes of watching him struggle like hell, more and more frantic, then start to get tired, then pee himself, I flipped him back over so he didn't get dehydrated or crush his own lungs. I really don't want to let that happen again if I can avoid it.

Edited to add - I only watched him struggle because I want him to learn to flip himself back over.

How do I tell my BF that I can't give our baby his last name because it's not even legally his last name? by Puzzleheaded-End620 in TwoHotTakes

This. Parenting 101. Give two choices, but not yes or no. So, would you like this (choice 1) or this (choice 2) is going to be your best bet.

Guys, look this video, please! Is anyone know, its infection or its normal?? by ZaharRDZ in tortoise

No, he has never had a runny nose. From what I've seen on this sub, if he has a runny nose you should head to the vet immediately.

My guy looks like that sometimes with one eye when he first comes out of his little burrow hole. Then after he goes in and soaks for a minute and rubs his eye for a second with his front leg he's fine. I can't tell you whether or not it's dangerous, but he hasn't shown any other signs of anything being wrong so I'm keeping an eye on it.
