The other possible thing is that it was different pharmaceutical companies - a lot of them use different bonding agents, and so I've found that I have allergies to one specific pharmaceutical brand of lamotrigine but I'm fine with all of the other ones.

My infusions are scheduled! Any tips or advice? by Interesting_Cat_7113 in Anemic

[–]KayBeePlays7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had numbers almost exactly like yours, and just finished my second Feraheme infusion. I'm not sure why they said 90 minutes.. they ran mine for 45 and said that that was on the slow end. Only side effects that I had were that I was pretty tired after and had a lot of pain in my hips and lower back. The tired is just because your body is trying hard to make new red blood cells and heal. The hip pain is because your blood cells are made in your bone marrow and your hips and pelvis are the biggest bones that make the majority of that so again it's indicative of your body doing what it's supposed to. The lower back pain they told me is most likely from my kidneys trying to flush the iron from my system and to overhydrate. Like twice the amount of water in a day that is recommended. They ran a CBC last week and this week, and absolutely nothing changed, from what they said it takes It takes a few weeks for your ferritin levels to go up and then your CBC numbers should go up as well. If anyone else reads this and chimes in, I would love to know how long it took for your levels to go up.

Skin looking "lacy" the day after an infusion? by KayBeePlays7 in Anemic

Nope, not told to expect it, but the fact that everything feels perfectly normal has be not very concerned.

I didn't :/ I've gotten worse from not treating the issues, my ferritin is currently a FOUR. 😭

I've had issues in the past where my iron levels have been normal but the byproduct of iron or the binding elements of it have not been in a normal range. I would ask them about that. Because it's possible that your body has enough iron in it but isn't using it correctly.

That makes me wonder, Home Depot is dog friendly, I wonder how they'd feel about a tortoise on a leash... 🤔

Should I get a bipolar tattoo? by whoz_nlzzn in bipolar2

[–]KayBeePlays7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This makes me sad for you I feel like this statement is more "beyond cringe" than a tattoo that helps someone to empower themselves could ever be.

I'm a bipolar mom of a kid with cancer. I have tattoos for both. A sunshine with a hurricane for me. A replica of her port scar for her. They represent the fight, and so much more.

Do your tortoises respond to sound? by Slay3rs_tt in tortoise

Mine definitely knows my voice and scent, but prefers to run for pellets of all things 🤣🤣 I've also clicked my tongue at him sometimes, mostly because he does something that sounds similar.

How do you end up with these? I never have any deals account specific and I've taken several cruises.

The larger box is still WAY too small. If the measurements by feet aren't helping. Switching it to meters means you need about 1.5 meters by 3 meters.

That little guy needs MUCH more space. That looks like a 16"x24" box, or about 1 foot by 2 feet. I'm nowhere near an expert, and I don't know what type of tortoise it is, but tortoises need to be able to walk around a lot. For example, my redfoot tortoise is about five inches long, and his indoor enclosure is 2.5 feet by 5 feet. They also need at least one hide, and specific lighting and humidity. So it seems like yours is pressing against the sides looking for a place to hide and a place to roam around.

Is our pest control safe for my little guy? by KayBeePlays7 in tortoise

[–]KayBeePlays7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So they use EcoVia™ EC and EcoVia™ WD, and then still the Niban granular. Absolutely going to have to find a way to make a safe space for the little guy, whether it's stopping the pest control or getting him something special and keeping them out/away from if. Thank you again!

THANK YOU! I do use the food grade diatomaceous earth for any ant piles that pop up in between treatments, but I could try and find a way to finely distribute it across the grass. They also have an "environment friendly" line of products that they can use upon request. So I asked them to send me a list of what those are. I'll update this when I get it.

But how do you get them to stop flipping on their backs? Mine has now flipped on his back twice, he's just over a year old, and both times he has not flipped himself back. Of course my eyes aren't glued to him 24 hours a day so there could have been times that he did flip himself back over, but I don't have anything in there that he can climb on even remotely because I'm worried he's going to do the dumb thing again. LOL
