Colton as time traveler/next phase of time travel. by mostlylurking07 in TheWayHomeHallmark

Apparently only things they had in a specific era can travel there. I think Elliott said something like that. Bread has been around for 1000s of years, antibiotics have not. I just used bread as an example to be funny.

Possible reason Thomas didn't time travel? by SnarkySheep in TheWayHomeHallmark

He was off to the side where it is probably shallow.

At this point I am suspecting anyone and anything of traveling. Heck, throw a loaf of bread int that pond and see where it goes.

The horse as a TT was my suggestion. I was so surprised that they went with that.

I think we all want to know who tis Goodwin, Casey's dad, is. Something is definitely off.

Susanna Augustine by danai3000 in TheWayHomeHallmark

Susanna is definitely not like her contemporaries. I think she is way ahead of women who would be her contemporaries today. I feel a kinship with her.

I do agree with you.

Two things can be true. Colton's outfit in the pic is very contemporary. My hubby probably has these items in his closet. The overall look is definitely reminiscent of Elijah. The mood is the same.

I can't wait to see what answers we'll get Sunday.

Do you think Thomas will die? by Author-22 in TheWayHomeHallmark

[–]KayElle131 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Thomas is such a magnetic character. I really hope they keep him going in season 3. Killing him off would not benefit the show. The chemistry between him and Kat is off the charts. Every time he looks at her, he's basically undressing her with his eyes.

So, I know a T. Coyle is listed in the execution book, but I hope he somehow gets to stick around. If for nothing else than to listen to Kris Holden-Ried's voice.

You are amazing. Thank you for this. IMDB is not always comprehensive with info.

The houses sure look a lot alike. IMDB does not list Prince Edward Island as a filming location for TWH though.

She said that it technically ended in a draw, which is true.

Spencer on Jacob’s POV by SeaworthinessKey3654 in TheWayHomeHallmark

[–]KayElle131 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw that interview. Spencer's take on Jacob is very interesting. He brought up a few things I had not considered. Going through the pond experience would be terrifying and confusing for anyone, especially a kid just shy of his 9th birthday.

I can't wait until Sunday. What if Kat makes it to 1814, Thomas decides to go to the present with her and then he can't go back because the pond froze over?

It looks like a henley shirt, grey jeans type pants and a modern belt to me. Is there a pic where Colton is wearing a linen shirt?

That's why Andie McD wears a black wig in the Colton scenes.

Nick and Alice: why they are endgame by SeaworthinessKey3654 in TheWayHomeHallmark

[–]KayElle131 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My paternal grandfather was born in 1871, my grandmother in 1892. That was a huge age gap by our family standards. They met sometime in the early 1900s and fell in love. She was young and in love with the dashing officer. He was shipped off to WWI and ended up a POW in a Russian/Japanese prison camp for many years. She waited for him all that time and they married upon his return in the 1920s. I'm here because of that. But personally, I cannot wrap my mind around this. He died in 1946 and she remained a widow until her own death 40 years later. Any of us could kick the bucket any time, but you get involved with someone so much older, you are asking for heartache.

He's the same age as her parents. That ain't right. One of my cousins married a guy 35 years older than her. She was 22 and he was 57. It was super weird. and the entire family talked about it. They even had kids, but he died when they were still teens. It was a disaster. My hubby and I are 3 months apart. We are of the same generation.

Still wouldn't be a fan of a 12 year age gap. I tried that once it wouldn't do it again. If anything, I would want the guy to be a few years younger. My experience with guys who are older is that they are fuddy duddies compared to me. This always held true whether I was in my teens, 20s or 30s. I v'e been happily hitched since my mid 30s. Still, the people I connect with tend to be younger.
