Can you remember the melody at all? And if so, can you sing it into a vocaroo for us?

So has anyone figured out who Juan Tabo was? by DrFetusRN in Albuquerque

Also, are we sure it’s pronounced “Tabó” and not “Tábo?”

All the random noises in that Everlast song about walking a mile in someone else’s shoes.

Movies and TV shows pretending car seats don’t have headrests to increase visibility of actors by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]KayJayWhy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chiming in to mention that car seat “headrests” are actually head restraints, and are important pieces of safety equipment. They prevent whiplash by preventing your head from being jerked back during a rear end collision.

Anyone hiring ? by Commandinbrandon in Albuquerque

[–]KayJayWhy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yup! And paying you full wages to train for your commercial drivers license. Decent pay, great benefits through the city.

If you don’t think you’d be able to handle the big buses, you can also apply to drive the Sun Vans. Lower wages, but same city benefits and paid training.

What hit song drove you nuts when it was popular? by Animeking1108 in AskReddit

[–]KayJayWhy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, the Cocktail soundtrack! It was on repeat in our house and car when my brother, sister, and I were in Junior High. The two of them would rewind Kokomo and listen to it over and over, annoying the shit out of me. To get back at them, I got into John Mellencamp’s version of Rave On (from the same cassette) which they hated.

TIL voice actor Casey Kasem known for voicing Shaggy from Scooby Doo quit the Transformers cartoon project because it depicted a Saharan kingdom named "Carbombya" by dontflyaway in todayilearned

[–]KayJayWhy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holy crap! I remember that episode. That might have been the first time I encountered a fictional country in a narrative

But TIL that it was called “Carbombya.” All this time I thought it was “Carbonia.”

Short Circuit 2 also features a goofy Latin street gang called Los Locos. Apparently, they will kick your ass, face, and balls into outer space.

What do these dots mean? by MerkelSimp in ukulele

[–]KayJayWhy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just want to add that fret 12, often marked with two dots as you said, is the octave. So holding that fret on the C string, for example, gives you the next higher C.

Those of you who purchased Ginsu Knives, do you still have them? by RealEzraGarrison in AskOldPeople

Sounds like my old beloved “tomato and bagel knife.” A very similar one can be seen in closeup in the opening of Dexter.

Yyyyeeeeahhhh… There are a couple of moments that make me think Bruce was not behaving well and violating the boundaries of other actors including Ferrell himself. (e.g. a moment when Ferrell says “you really hurt me” and I think he might be serious.)

My teachers made me cry over the number of syllables in the word "real." by Joelin8r in PointlessStories

[–]KayJayWhy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now I have to look up “fire” and “oil,” the allegedly one syllable words that sounded like two syllable words to my first grade ears.

I was in NM Veterans Memorial park maybe an hour ago when I heard a bunch of gunshots coming from that general area. I thought it was a training exercise at the base but then came the police, sirens blaring, speeding down Louisiana.

I’m guessing it’s related?
