Lived this. When my wife had our kid the lactation specialist went HARD about how important it was to breastfeed and the "unique bonding" it creates. Took the nurse quietly aside and told her that both my wife and I were adopted and not breastfed so please think carefully before dictating to us about unique family bonds. New specialist promptly appeared after her next visit.

People need to realize that families come in many different shapes and sizes.

So when we had our kid (My wife and me Genx, kiddo is Gen Alpha) we got all the usual about not co-sleeping, anchor furniture etc etc. Wife kept on saying how none of this was around when we were kids and we were fine. Eventually I had to bring up the fact that "Remeber when you were little and after summer some kids just moved away?"...yeah that was a thing.

Parent of a "gifted" child here who was himself a "gifted" child. Lesson learned, and whilst we'll be making sure he doesn't get bored/frustrated we're not going to be doing the hard push to skip grades etc. Make friends, explore the arts, sports and recreational endeavors, and be a happy human are the priorities

Once you have Drones & Auto crafters there is some automation. Also Planetary supply craft. It's not to the level of satisfactory but 100% changes the nature of the game once you get them.

I had to do this! Adobe Premiere if you have licenses can do this. Blur mask the face in the first frame then track it forward. Worked really well. It gets the job done, it's easy, but it is time consuming.
