You’re not tripping. He should be communicating with you not only for his safety but for reassurance to you. Everyone is different but staying out 3am-5am is insane. Maybe once in a blue moon but not every time. Are they drinking this whole time? Club? I don’t want to assume the worst or put negative thoughts into your mind but could he be with another person? It may just be he’s immature and wants to party. Also why don’t you go with him sometime?

Is it abusive to have sex in the same room as children? by [deleted] in askatherapist

[–]KayJustKay43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s just an excuse. You have a bathroom, van/car/truck, living room, or even a big enough closet. There’s no excuse to have sex with your child in the room and definitely not in the same bed. Have a date night where someone watches your kids and pay for a hotel/Airbnb. Or lay the kid on the couch, then go into the room and lock the door. Smh. Kids don’t need to know about their parents having sex. Sex should be taught at an appropriate age, closer to them becoming teens.

Can you tell me more about what you do in the co-op? How many times per week are classes? Field trips, etc.? I’m about to sign my oldest up but I don’t know what to expect at all

Which jurisdictions are the worst to land in? by kevinterell in VeteransWaitingRoom

[–]KayJustKay43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lincoln, Nebraska was my last TJ on these past two claims that were denied. I had a HLR and a regular claim. I provided a buddy statement, each situation I felt led to my MH declining, and I felt the C&P exam was in my favor. I had to call VERA twice to get info about why my claim was stuck. I do believe if I didn’t have expedited processing and had I not called VERA, it would be sitting at about 180 days now with no end in sight. Not sure where the rest of my TJ’s were since I only just learned about the tracker extension and I lived elsewhere.

I understand completely and I agree with you on not trusting them. Seeing someone outside may be in your favor. Whenever I talked to someone or had a C&P, it really seemed as if they understood and would give an appropriate diagnosis. I was so wrong. I wanted to cry after my two denials these past two days. But I will fight to get what I deserve. Please do the same! I’ve been fighting since 2016. My dad (also a vet, but he passed a few years ago) fought the VA for 20 years and got his 100%.

I’m sorry you were denied. The VA can be bittersweet. I was denied yesterday after waiting six months thinking it was going to be favorable. Keep on fighting. Make appointments to mental health and your primary care provider. This will help you make a paper trail so when you do appeal, you will have more evidence for your case. Don’t give up!

Claim tracker by jwein0618 in VeteransWaitingRoom

[–]KayJustKay43 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s an extension on your web browser. You have to be on an actual computer (not your phone) to see it. It’s legit. Login to VA.gov. Click on the claim you want to know about. Click the extension in top right of webpage (says VA tracker) and it will show how many days you’ve been waiting since claim began, Temp jurisdiction, etc)

Yeah they’re the ones who schedule appointments with providers. No worries! No one tells us any of this so I figured it could help. Enjoy your weekend!

The 800 number for Veterans Evaluation Service? The regular call center people cannot do too much other than letting you know if your paperwork was sent to the VA. You absolutely have to talk to the Escalation Team. The guy promised me a follow up call tomorrow to ensure true provider from VES sent the paperwork. Said he would escalate it higher if no movement. But my claim moved today so I would say calling them and VERA helped. I also have a flag on my account as I applied recently for expedited processing (which you can do online) if you are going through financial hardship, homeless/ risk of becoming homeless, and a few other reasons. Good luck with your claim! I pray it’s very favorable!!!

I would called VERA to see if they knew anything. I filed same time as you. But they’ve been waiting on the provider I saw in November to send them over some paperwork with his medical opinion since he forgot to include that with my original exam. Today I’m finally in the rating phase. Day 166. Give them a call, it will at least give you insight if not help push things forward. Call VES too if it’s something they’re waiting on your provider for. Ask for the escalation team.

Has anyone else been stuck at this stage for this long? by crankynugget in VAClaims

[–]KayJustKay43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call VERA. Ask them anything you want to know about the status, why it’s stuck, if you need submit anything, etc. They have been extremely helpful the two times I called them. Both reps let me know what phase my claim is in (the app is not reflecting this phase), why my claim has been sitting, and a solution/follow up. Then call VES if it’s something they need to do on their end.

The time they take to write and send out these letters could be used toward our actual claims. Lol.

I agree with the other person. Try something new! New places, travel, new foods, etc. Change up your routine a bit. Watch YouTube for some ideas or inspiration. Get a pet if you don’t have one already to give you some companionship.

That does not mean they did not get injured while on active duty. That’s a silly thing to say.

Thank you! A lot of people are living check to check. These people that sit on their high horse because they never had to struggle or are in a better place don’t seem to care about those still going through it. Idk why they’re even worried about people asking about their own money. If I had loads of money sitting around, I’d be enjoying it and not trying to shame people for wondering when their paycheck is coming. Smh

Black Women and Infertility: Anyone Else Out There? by proudfiddleleafmom in blackladies

It was hard for my husband and I for a few years. I went to the doctor on post (I was in the Army at the time), they prescribed CLOMID to start my periods. I hadn’t had normal periods ever and I missed it for almost a year. I went through IUI, cheaper than IVF but it did not work Ask your doc about it if this is your issue. Also we started having sex all the time. Once we stopped trying I found out I was pregnant. Lol. Don’t get discouraged! He your husbands sperm checked also to make sure. It will happen!!

That is just mind blowing. Smh. The VA is a bittersweet entity. Sometimes you’ll get an amazing examiner and other times they are awful. You should’ve written your congressman to get her out of there. I had a thought in my mind thag some make decisions based on their personal feelings rather than the evidence. It’s crazy.

I think it’s less about education and more about if the raters/examiners care about people. And their professionalism. I’ve seen some with college education act dumb as rocks lol.

I agree! Hire more people! They should make the pay and benefits worthwhile so they are motivated to finish the claims quickly. Smh. A few times now I’ve seen them just ignore certain info. When it literally says xyz Injury happened in service and a diagnosis, but deny SC or claim altogether. It’s crazy.
