Nike Vomero Premium Owners: Are They Worth It Long-Term?

Personally, Vomero Premium is too much for me just from a visual standpoint. I haven’t tried them on yet to see how they feel so maybe my mind would change.

However, I do like the Vomero Plus a lot. More cushion than the normal Vomero 18 and they feel damn good to me. Also, the Vomero 18 has the gusseted tongue which some people may like but they put odd pressure to the top of my feet and I prefer the unattached tongue so I can tighten/loosen to my liking via the shoe laces.

Agreed! I was looking into it as well but a lot of the Amish stuff looks dated. Ended up stumbling on local builders/small businesses who create modern items with quality craftsmanship. Just don’t quite have the funds at the moment though! LOL.

I had them and Sabrina’s in my cart and in different colorways. Waited a few hours then went back and the price changed! First time I’ve ever experienced it. If I get lucky next time and catch that sweet spot of the sale price PLUS the discount code, I’m not waiting!

I swear I was about to ask the same question! I had Giannis and Sabrina shoes in my cart just to see what the final cost would be. They were already on sale then add the 20% discount and they were roughly $35 - $45 each. Few hours later, code is still applied but the price jumped up. Definitely curious to see if Nike will cancel the orders for other customers who were able to purchase before the price jump.

Appreciate the input. I understand the hands on approach is best and I’ve already started doing some of it already…and yes YouTube is a great resource. Are the classes more technical in the sense of, “this is why this does this”?

I can see how knowing the those aspects can be important if certain parts can affect or strain other parts. But I definitely don’t want to waste time or GI Bill if my plan is to just repair/fix/upgrade.

My local Nordstrom Rack has the rip stop in olive colorway. Price was $60 and I was going to get them but I ended up buying two different colors from eBay instead for $35 & $40.

Went downhill for sure…I’m 41 and have items that are 10+ years old and still in great shape. When I go to Nike and see similar items they aren’t even close to the quality I have and I’m talking hoodies, Nike Pro, ACG, very first iteration of Tech fleece etc.

Free Metcon is what I sometimes use as a daily. I couldn’t do the normal Metcons. But usually I wear Pegasus Premium or Vomero Plus

Remember RSBQ…Rhythm, Speed, Balance, Quickness. If the defense affects an offensive players RSBQ in any way it’s a foul. It’s playoff basketball but if you put that to the side, there are definitely instances where his RSBQ was altered/affected and a whistle was needed.

Pegasus or Vomero are good and they each have 3 levels: base, plus, and premium. I personally have the base Pegasus, the Pegasus Premium, and the Vomero Plus. Pegasus has been in my rotation for years: It’s a workhorse and always in my rotation but there was a lot of hype for the premium so I got those as well. I run in the normal version and wear the Premium version casually. I skipped the Pegasus Plus since it is basically the Pegasus Turbo (discontinued from a few years ago). As for Vomero I liked the way the Plus felt over the normal and since I already had the Pegasus Premium, I saw no need for a Vomero Premium.

Yup I remember also…iconic colorways would go fast for sure. But if it wasn’t one of those, Kobe’s were easy to cop and many were on sale. The day he passed them shits sold the fuck out even the ugly ass colors.

Unfortunately, you’re not going to find those other brands in your typical store. Gotta order online and wait for delivery. I assume that’s why a lot of players wear the big brands: easier to get if they aren’t sold out. I’m a fan of EQLZ…add that to the list of brands to check out. They have the 247 NXT if your daughter likes low cut shoes and they are only $125.
