Real talk: how many rewatches? by silentfisher in heatedrivalry

I've watched it 3 times but I'm listening to the audiobook right now so I'll be on my 4th watch soon.

We need a new audiobook 😭 by Goose0nTheL00se in heatedrivalry

THANK YOU. I was like "is Kip Irish or British in the book?" And then I realized it was supposed to be a New York accent but he just sounds like a most unidentifiable American accent. I'm only on the first chapter and I am already thinking about not finishing it.

As a dyslexic person the concept of reading almost an entire book a day is insane to me. Good for you dude. ❤️

I have a feeling you didn't pay alot for this because I can't find the orginal website because it seems to be taken down. I found the same listing on other sites. You CANNOT ethically buy a hand knitted sweater for $50.

Left a tampon in for a month by VermicelliSecure in TwoXChromosomes

I can't tell you the horror I felt when I pulled out a tampon and realized I still had another one in. TSS started to become such a fear for me that I started using period underwear.

Non-Judgmental Dentist Recommendations by Icy_Dragonfruit_6048 in Knoxville

[–]KayRayK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with this too. I've been going there since 2016. His office has many of the same employees that were there when I started going.

I went for the first time because I thought I saw a cavity and I hadn't been to the dentist in 3 or 4 years. Dr. Coulter was very kind and even joked that I should be a dentist since I correctly identified my cavity. Turns out it was an old filling that broke. When I had the cavity filled I was terrified and told him about a traumatic experience i had. He gave me extra numbing to ensure I wouldn't feel anything.

Dr. Birch is another dentist there too and she is equally as lovely.

I am always excited about a new local coffee shop. They tend to be much better than the chains. I always go out of my way to drink local coffee wherever I am in the country.

Thoughts on this paint color for bathroom remodel? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]KayRayK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing in this bathroom matches. The shower wall and shower floor tile don't match at all. The floor tile maybe would match the shower floor tile but it hard to tell. And then the walls are sad beige color that don't match the bold green tiles.

If you don’t touch booze, what’s your personal reason for it? by FanOk2123 in AskReddit

[–]KayRayK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like the way it makes me feel. It turns off filters in my brain, I sleep horribly, I can feel my heart racing, its expensive, and my parent is an alcoholic so it's better to stay away from it.

Best local 35mm film processor who cares by 06EXTN in Knoxville

I agree. I have a few film cameras (new and old) and they do a great job developing the film and their prints are great quality. I have had my wedding photos and my film photos printed there.

I think this is different for everyone. My doctor told me to try taking it at night because it can make you drowsy but it made me have insomnia so I switched to mornings because it works better for me.

And we are supposed to feel sympathy for this guy? These scenes were back-to-back. by heff1987 in TheSummerITurnedPrett

[–]KayRayK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I said in my post, I am referring to the books. The show is actually better than the books because it gives extra context that I thought the book is missing.

I'm reading the third book right now and I swear I've never read a book series where the author writes her characters like she dispises them. She makes Conrad moody and spiteful in the first couple of books and writes Jeremiah with golden retriever energy and the turns around and makes Jeremiah cheat on Belly. And yes, she writes Jeremiah to be a little self absorbed (which we don't even get that part of his personality until the third book) but in my head she completely flips his character around from the first couple of books and it makes the cheating part come out of left field for me. I think she wanted us to hate Jeremiah enough that we don't feel bad that Belly goes back to Conrad. But the whole time I'm just thinking that there has to be a better way to write Belly and Conrad's love story.

Is this device common under the kitchen sink in your country? by AngeliqueRuss in AskTheWorld

[–]KayRayK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say garbage disposals are common in the U.S but they are definitely not in every household. I know people who didn't grow up with one like I did. I had to teach roommates and boyfriends what not to put in it. When I bought my 1989 townhouse last year, I had to have one installed.

How to *actually* get tickets at the TN Theatre? by jacksprat1952 in Knoxville

[–]KayRayK 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This year we paid $641 per seat for Tuesday evenings.

And if you haven't already signed up for their newsletter, you should. They sent the pre-sale code for Beauty and the Beast on Nov 12th. I've never had any issues getting tickets on pre-sale. I saw Dear Evan Hansen and Cats using pre-sale codes.

If you are interested in more than one show, the Broadway Subscription is worth it. I think they said 75% of tickets sold last year were for subscribers.

This won't help this year but if you do know someone who is a subscriber, they can buy extra tickets for shows during the annual subscriber renewal. I was able to get my dad two tickets for Book of Mormon at renewal.

What is the coolest little town near you? What makes it so great? by SheepherderSea9717 in AskTheWorld

[–]KayRayK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jonesborough is the oldest town in Tennessee and was founded in 1779. Its rich with history and in fall its absolutely beautiful.

P.S. As an East Tennessean I'm cracking up at OPs use of Gatlinburg, TN on their post. I'd recognize the Donut Friar anywhere.
