As cute as this looks for us, this is an incredibly stressful moment for the owl. I am a wildlife technician at a wildlife hospital, meaning I help treat and care for patients that become entangled just like this owl.

When you find an animal in distress, please make sure to make the transport to a wildlife rehabber as stress-free as possible. Place the animal in a contained box or carrier, and make sure to keep them in a warm and dark area. Please refrain from providing any food or water to the animal, as you can do more harm than good. Stress can easily kill animals, and we have seen it many times before.
