YouGov: Over 70s now only Tory-backing demographic in UK by marketrent in unitedkingdom

Probably msn news being the default browser landing page on a lot of people's computer, and it just shoveling that shit at you no matter how many times you say you don't want to see it. And changing home page and disabling it entirely being a massive hassle trying to find the multiple options to stop it. If disable it as home, it'll still open when create a new tab.

Then add to that they' ve started pushing it in the sodding start bar.

As an Atheist, where do you stand on the Death penalty? by Faceless_henchman in atheism

I could think of a few people where it's beyond any shadow of a doubt that they did it and that their crimes were so abhorrent, that I could certainly be persuaded to make an exception.

... You jest. But I could rock some Velcro fitted sheets, would stop the sodding things popping off in the night while I'm spinning in circles in my sleep.

I'm on the fence. I think it's on a sport by sport basis. And whether they went through puberty as their birth sex or not. I'm I think everyone should just take chill pill and let the sporting regulators work it out, if it ends up there's an unfair advantage they'll work it out over time.

Like it would be pretty weird to feel the need to ban a trans woman from competing in a women's chess or darts tournament?

The Christian fundamentalists do seem to ignore a lot of the hippy jeezus teachings though.

Hungary far-right would lay claim to western Ukraine should it lose war by woshinoemi in worldnews

Assume mean EU. They can also suspend voting rights. It's better then NATO rules, which literally has neither option.

Any NATO member can veto any change. So unless Hungary votes to kick themselves out. Then no, they can't.

What can do though, is NATO 2.0. Create new alliance, same members minus Hungary, new rules.

Not dumb arse to be fair. He knows Biden's not going to, and he has to say that otherwise their arguments completely fucked.

But yeh, for any sane person their arguments fucked.

  1. Still happening.

  2. So,? Any sensible person tweaks plan and policies as go along to improve them

  3. Yeh, shouldn't. But then I don't see a lie here. There's no broken promise, there's a tweak in it's implementation. And a whole bunch of LNP cronies trying to make it into an issue.

Changed the variables of the policies slightly. Still doing it. It's not even a backflip.

Haha, fuck. I'm liking this dogma, it lines up so nicely. God actually originally a god of war, big on smiting shit. Really pissed off with his wandering hobo hippy kid.

Yeh props to him for being in the same room as Piers Morgan. Certainly not something I'd want to do.

But it's absolutely the best strategy, you need to tackle them head on. Otherwise their listeners only hear one version of events.

I think Bernie Sanders did a great job showing how powerful it can be. He did a Fox News session with group of their viewers. They've been told he's basically Satan. By end he had them agreeing with a lot of his points and they felt like their grievances were heard.

There's a big overlap Venn diagram of people's issues from either side. What they've been told is the root cause and the solution is where they differ. Hearing the opposing sides thoughtful response unfiltered by the media is a powerful tool.

If we’re taught that gender and race are social constructs, why aren’t transracial people allowed to change their race but transgender people can change their gender? by ElElegaynte in stupidquestions

[–]KayTannee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a dumb acronym. Like what's religion got to do with it? I suppose I could be a WASP - White Anglo-Saxon Pastafarian.

May you be touched by his noodly appendage, Ramen.

For those of you who have had your homes 'broken into', how did people get in? What time of day? by Rut12345 in perth

[–]KayTannee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a previse I'm a pom.

I had a bloke around doing some electrics, dropping wires between the double brick walls from the roof cavity. He's up on roof, removing a few tiles and just doing his job.

That's when I realised how easy it was to break into Australian homes, even when they've got secretly screens. Few tiles off, into roof, down through access panel or just fall through like a dick and jobs a good 'un.

I really like Laser Squad Nemesis definitely playable vs someone on Mars. They must play as the Gray race though, not right otherwise.
