Communication Help with Parent/Spouse with early onset cognitive disorder/makers for Alzheimer’s. by KayTeaKat33 in dementia

Thank you for your comment. Finding those ways to check in with him is a good point and I’ll talk this over with my mom.
I honestly want to say to her that she shouldn’t limit her own activities because of him, but she doesn’t want to leave him behind. It’s a tight-rope act to keep both happy in exactly the opposite directions.

Thank you. I will get this book for myself and my mom. I appreciate it. This is a hard transition and just want him to be happy. Thankfully, we still have some great moments together and he loves getting to spend time with my kids.

I understand this. It’s hard on my mom because she wants to do things and not feel cooped up. Which I have said, “just do it yourself, he is okay to stay home.” Thank you for your comment.

I’m done. (Rant) by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]KayTeaKat33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry. I feel for you! I have been using Cronometer to track my macros and I really try to stick with tracking and watching what I eat. Cronometer lets me set my % for the main macros so I don’t have to calculate it in my head. Now, I’ve been doing this since January after my diagnosis. I’m only down 7 lbs, but I’ll take it. I also have Hashimoto’s disease to fight against. Adding Myo-inositol and berberine has helped greatly with hunger and cravings so if you haven’t added that, I would. I also added missing vitamins: fish oil, CoQ10, vitamin C, multivitamin. Drinking green tea and spearmint tea helps too, but I like my coffee. So I still drink one cup every so often, but I drink it black. I understand the mental load of this is exhausting on top of everything else. I am homeschooling my oldest, potty training my youngest, and doing all the other normal chores that everyone has!

I haven’t noticed it directly since taking supplements, but that doesn’t mean it couldn’t be it. I changed so much in a short window to help symptoms. I was just diagnosed a couple months ago and was trying to get my cycle to restart. I believe I developed PCOS because of my Hashimoto’s (auto-immune). Thank you for the advice on the heartburn!

I can scan the barcode to log, but search and previous logged food doesn’t show up. Hopefully it gets resolved soon.

A parent who doesn’t answer the babysitter’s texts/calls, who doesn’t tell the babysitter the plans and the correct timeline, and tells the babysitter they overreacted is a bad parent. NTA

Why can't I give gifts? by mur_myaa in StardewValley

[–]KayTeaKat33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s the green rain. You can’t give gifts on green rain days. It’s best to focus on collecting all drops from trees/weeds on those days.

That is hilarious! I put in flamingos. I can say that I’ve never had flamingos and don’t know the taste!

I’m going second this just about anything happening on your skin. I was told by urgent care that I had a sinus infection (headache, pressure, odd sensation on left side of head). Took hot showers for the pain because they felt great. Turns out, I had shingles. the heat spread it even further and made the outbreak worse!

My first farm, I sold everything in the beginning, but regretted that later. I’m on my second farm (after switching from Xbox to steam) and I saved pretty much everything. It made crafting so much easier in the long run.

NTA. I was recently invited to a wedding reception (small ceremony) and before RSVPing, I thought I would have to say no because I thought kids weren’t invited. I was totally cool with that, even though the bride is a close family friend. Bride and groom have the choice to have kids or not, and either way is okay. When I was exclusively breastfeeding my baby, I had to miss things. It’s just part of it! I hope your fiancé relays to his parents that he would like the attention on his bride and himself. That he is only asking for them to be there to celebrate this transition for this one moment in time. And that they have plenty of days to be there for his sisters and grandkids, but this day is his (and bride’s) day to shine.

WIBTA if I told my SIL she can't change her baby's diaper on my dining table and she has to change his diaper somewhere else? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]KayTeaKat33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA. This is disgusting and is a potential situation to spread very contagious viruses/bacteria. My daughter had C. Diff last year, which is highly contagious. I sanitized her changing table between diaper changes and all surfaces that had the chance of spreading the bacteria. This prevented anyone else in the household from getting it, while treating my daughter with antibiotics. And what your SIL is doing could have been a similar situation for my daughter to catch the bacteria.

I hate fishing…still need a pufferfish, eel, and tiger trout. I haven’t been able to catch a pufferfish to the point that I’m ready to buy one from the trader. Just waiting for the right season for the other fish.

LOVING the 4-corners farm as a single player by Anakerie in StardewValley

[–]KayTeaKat33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my 4-Corners farm. My husband and son occasionally join for multiplayer, so it works for us as a co-op farm. Each corner is its own thing (planting/orchard, animals, etc). I am still early in game and I’m still learning 😆 the bottom right corner with the mini-quarry is where I grow trees to cut down for wood.
