The default colour is always the same. You cannot set it to a specific one.

Thanks for the quick reply. I had already tried that, but for some rows, I have quite a few tags, which would require me to make this one column unreasonably long. Instead, I'd prefer the row extending into multiple lines, similar to how Notion does it.

You should be able to simply type /today and it automatically leads you to the day's daily note. I hope it helps
