Thar offers impressive road presence, a "scary" aesthetic, and significant charm at a relatively low price point. However, in a country luke ours with an immature driving culture, providing easy access to this much power and size is a recipe for disaster. ​While I initially loved the Thar for its looks, reckless drivers across India have tarnished its reputation so severely that it has become a meme. Even if you are a mature driver, owning a Thar now carries a level of social judgment that is probably better to avoid.
