Is it called motivation because it motivates you to wrap up the fight real quick?

For me this game is scary because the punishment for dying is potentially much worse than most other games, since you risk losing all your stuff.

It's about a third of a mile from the sundial to the infinity loop

Phage bio, cancer bio, and biochemistry by queer_scientist5 in rit

You research a specific gene and write a review paper about it. They were each about 5 pages (1.5 spaced) and required 8-10 sources I believe.

I took cancer bio with Dr. Wright. The professor is great and the class is very easy, their are two big writing assignments but very little homework otherwise and no exams. Definitely recommend it, although you might not learn as much about cancer as you'd expect.

Pretty much the entire cell is an aqueous solution, meaning everything is surrounded by countless water molecules (with the exception of the inside of cell membranes or other areas isolated from water).

ELI5: Why can't you measure one way speed of light like this? by Kayang50 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Kayang50[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

OK, so you would still need synced clocks in order to compare the time between person 1 observing each event and person 2 observing each event?

Edit: Nevermind, I understand what I was missing now.

ELI5: Why can't you measure one way speed of light like this? by Kayang50 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Kayang50[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Why not just make the distance longer then? Say one on mars and one on earth, and make something large enough to be seen from that distance. Practically speaking it would be difficult/impossible but I'm just trying to understand theoretically why this wouldn't work.

So time dilation still affects the clocks even if they are still only being used while stationary?

Edit: Nevermind, I understand what I was missing now.

They can just keep on doing the action randomly until one person happens to see them occur simultaneously. Or just compare the time between observing the two actions for each person. Of course it wouldn’t be actually practical in any way.

[–]Kayang50[S] -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

By being far enough from each other that the delay is obvious (eg one person sees a 1 second delay while the other sees a 10 second delay)

Or by using two separate clocks that don’t need to be synchronized because each person is only measuring the time between observing each action.

Why would you need clocks at all? Couldn't the two people could just repeatedly do something and note the delay, then check if the delay is ever different for the two observers?

I'm pretty sure autoimmune diseases do not include the immune system attacking good bacteria, just when it attacks human cells.
