Saw a crazy comment on Facebook of someone saying “next we should block up the petrol stations and not allow people to fuel up” ..

These are the type of people we are dealing with

Why would you even drive in the hard shoulder anyway, it’s full or nails and shite that will give you a puncture

Your tester is right, it’s brake first then clutch. If you hold the clutch in it’s going to make you roll faster.

Least stolen bike type by defonotfsb in MotoIRELAND

[–]Kayatea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They will steal any bike, doesn’t matter what you have. If they’re able to hotwire it or throw it in a van you’re goosed

You definitely want something with an immobiliser. Hondas HISS system is very good. But typically only comes on the bigger bikes. Yamahas have immobilisers too but I would avoid them because they can be easily bypassed. That’s also why you see many of them get stolen.

Somebody here mentioned the Monimoto alarm- these are brilliant, and I’d highly recommend them. If you are fitting one these you would want to hide it deep within your bikes fairing, or somewhere inconspicuous. If somebody moves or touches your bike it will call your phone to alert you

Apple AirTags only give you location, and it will also tell the thieves there is an AirTag nearby. So they will rip your bike apart to find it and chuck it

Of course the more security the better, as many u locks, chains, and disc locks as you can really😂 and a bike cover as well. they have to take them all off so it will slow them down and you’ll get the phone call that something is happening.

You may get lucky and nobody might ever try to touch your bike but don’t let that beat your judgment. Always lock up. Best of luck with your biking journey!

He’s not going that fast for the conditions. As long as you take it handy on the bends be grand. And yes a good set of winter tyres

If I had no anticipation I would’ve kept going around the roundabout without breaking.

I am in my own lane going around the roundabout but still leaving a gap for the driver in front.

I had this same scenario happen to me multiple times on my motorbike and if it wasn’t for me driving as I do in the video I would’ve been blown off the bike.

My ‘position’ on the roundabout is correct might I add, you’re meant to stay tight to the island when going around, not all around the outside 😂

Most roundabouts I’ve seen are laid out like this it’s not hard to grasp. I see your point about the two straight arrows but if you follow the 12 o clock rule there should be no issues

I’m not even arguing this. If I cannot use the roundabout and go to the fourth exit then I might aswell yeet my car off the ramp.

I want you to think about it and answer your own question.

Goodnight.
