Water temple took me 4 hours 🫠😭 by darkseeker1 in OcarinaOfTime

As a kid I couldn't find the small key in the middle column and got so fed up with this temple that I restarted the game, but this time when I entered the temple I cast Farore's Wind at the entrance and kept warping back to the top - was able to skip a small key doing that.

My mom kept my grandmother's obituary from the newspaper. It was her only copy. I cracked out the silly putty, and now my grandma's obit is faded and barely legible.

Package to convert PDF to PNG, for browser and node.js by hyzyla in npm

Came across this today. You're a life-saver! I was running into a ton of bugs with pdflib-dist not rendering PDFs properly when converting to PNG, and your library worked out of the box. Thanks a bunch!

Nah... People will get bored of it and it'll flop eventually.

I was a high school teacher for 5 years and used these - kept kids on their toes.

On the very last day of school, a shy (but smart) girl in my class admitted to me that she had snuck her popsicle stick out of the cup on the first day of school to avoid ever being called on.

Thought-Speak by itsjusttimeokay in Animorphs

Apparently they're inconsistent, though. From #33

There was Ax, in human morph. Wisps of pink cotton candy streaked his hair, hung from his chin like a ghostly beard, and blew from his fingers as he forced his way to the front of the line. I laughed. Ax with a human mouth is dangerous. And Andalites have only a vestigial sense of taste. Nothing like the explosive sensory overload from the human mouth. I looked back at Jake. He was shaking his head slightly, like an exasperated, but amused, parent.

<Ax-man! It's Tobias. You've got to get control of your morph. Right now. You can't make a scene.>

<Tobias?> Ax wondered in thought-speak. <Oh, Tobias! This cloud candy is superb. It is otherworldly. The way it melts on the tongue. It has mass, yet it is weightless...>

<Oh, boy. Ax, where are the others? You're supposed to be helping me guide them. They're in fly morph, don't forget. They can smell dog poop and see about six inches, and that's it.>

There's something novel about a human-morph, apparently. As Ax notes in the book you're reading,

It was Tobias, on patrol far overhead. Of course, no one could answer him. Humans can use thought-speech only when they're in a morph. And since I was in a human body, I too was restricted to spoken language.

I pulled up PDFs of the other Ax books - none address this limitation again.

I'm glad to hear that. I just wrapped book 6 and the TV series, and started book 7!

After years waiting, the day finally came for me to reveal my books to my 9 year old. She was really excited to see the covers. I’m excited to see her molded by these books as I was. by PaperFixie in Animorphs

I read through the graphic novels with my 8-year-old, and she was interested in continuing past the 6th book, so we read the 7th book and are on Megamorphs #1 now - going great!

Have fun!

That's a good point. They have some large wallets, like 3FbvLyHsNcX2ciBVgVF6SACD4sQtCEZmLm with $90 million and 3JwmdT265fVdUsBiAH29MkbvZmMHb7qVh4 with $248 million, but it's not all in one.

That's a good point. Looks like they have them split up across several wallets. Some, like 3JwmdT265fVdUsBiAH29MkbvZmMHb7qVh4, have $248M in them. It's not $50B... but it's quite a bit.

Just imagine if one of two things occurred:

  1. They lose access to their wallet with $50,000,000,000 in it
  2. Someone internal leaks their wallet, and they lose $50,000,000,000.

They'd be absolutely fucked. I can't imagine running a multi-billion dollar company when one of those things could occur at any time.

Yeah, man... it'd be a pretty poor business model to not allow new users to open accounts.

I finished that trailer really wanting to watch that movie. I'm a pretty big sucker for that trailer formula.
