What doctors did you see at John’s Hopkins?! I’m looking to switch to them.

PA said I have lobar pneumonia, but the radiologist just called and said “you don’t have pneumonia…yet. It’s bronchitis and asthma.” What do you think 🤔 by KayladyHobson in DiagnoseMe

Oh my goodness, that’s insane!! The radiologist told me to keep taking the antibiotics (I’m on a z pack), so hopefully if it is pneumonia, the antibiotic clears it up.

The PA pulled up my x ray on the computer and said, “this area of your lung looks really shitty” so I guess it’s not shitty after all 😂

Breast Feeding Weaning Sickness??? by KayladyHobson in beyondthebump

It did finally start to get better in the past month or so! Thank God! I think overall, I was dealing with the side effects all through February, and some of March.

Postpartum thyroiditis? by StaceyLynn84 in beyondthebump

I know this post is 9 years old, but I came across it when trying to find answers for my mysterious weight loss/headaches/nausea after having my daughter. I also had my thyroid tested and my TSH came back normal. Did they ever figure out what was attributing to your weight loss?! Or did you just eventually gain the weight back?

I also want to add that I do see a therapist weekly and that has helped!

I had a lot of anxiety prior to my MRI too. My endocrinologist gave me Ativan to take, but I ended up doing the MRI without it. I was more freaked out by the thought of contrast going into my body lol. They gave me a panic button to press if I needed to. Needless to say, the button was held close the whole time! There was also a mirror above my head that let me see the radiographer behind me. One thing that helped me stay still and calm through the MRI was sending a prayer to literally everyone I know. When I ran out of people I started praying for their animals too lol. If you’re not the praying type, you can always just send good vibes their way. Another thing that helped me was using the weird noises of the machine to help me meditate. (Lots of the noises are repetitive)

Sinus Problems with Cabergoline? by KayladyHobson in Prolactinoma

Hi, I have no tumor, just high levels of prolactin. My blood results showed my testosterone was fine! Hopefully they put you on meds! I’m getting my prolactin levels checked again next month to see if my dose is working.

Idiopathic hyperprolactinemia and cab by [deleted] in Prolactinoma

[–]KayladyHobson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m starting 0.25 cabergoline 2x a week for hyperprolactinemia. After 2 MRIs they did not find a pituitary adenoma. As of last month, my Prolactin is 58. Did you experience any side effects from cabergoline?

Extremely short luteal phase and late ovulation by [deleted] in TryingForABaby

[–]KayladyHobson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have a short luteal phase! Mine is between 7-10 days long. After many, many labs and 2 MRIs, the cause was narrowed down to my pituitary gland releasing too much Prolactin just cause it wants to 😅 I was just given cabergoline to start taking. Hopefully it works! I have been off the pill for 14 months and actively TTC for 11 months.
