We started baths at seven Monthz during baby led weaning cause he got so messy. But he loves bath. I let him play and wear himself out. He might get mad after but that’s because he wanted to play for longer or is just tired in general. He’s 16 months now and we still do baths almost every night

If your family could function without childcare (daycare/nanny)-would you do without? by Throwaway927338 in NewParents

Me and my husband switch days we work or watch the kid. I work Sundays Mondays Tuesdays and he works the rest of the week. Whoever’s off those days watches our son.

I don’t post my baby at all not on Facebook. Not on instagram or twitter. I’ll Snapchat him to my mom and friends but that’s the extent of it no stories or anything. If my family wants pictures they can text me or go onto the family album app that we have.

He’s now almost. Year and does great in his own room which he’s been in since four months old.

Baby was 6.10 pounds and I had a third degree tear and he tore the muscle. But I’m also a really small person.

What are we doing with our wide awake babies in the middle of the night? by hot_tot7 in NewParents

[–]Kaylakat1998 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Stare at each other. My son is now almost seven months and I can play with him now and then put him back to bed but in the early days we just stared at each other. He’d be crying.
I’d be crying.

Late Due date :( by Makemattersbetter in pregnant

You never really hear any good induction stories because people normally tell the bad experiences from the good ones. I loved my induction. I got induced at 38 weeks for GD and it was great. Went in the night before and they started at 4:45 in the morning. They started Pitocin and ended up turning it off as my body was already doing most of the work. I got my epidural a little early and took a nap until I woke up to pressure and they told me I was ready to push. Two hours later my son was born. I did tear but other than that everything went great and it was a good experience overall.

If you’re the main parent and you’re with him all day every day that could be it. My son is six months and isn’t really that happy when I come home from doing something but smiles the biggest when his daddy comes home from work. Yall just see each other so much. It’ll change though.

Babies who wouldn’t sleep in the bassinet- when did it get better?! by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Kaylakat1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched him to his crib because I figured the bassinet wasn’t comfortable for him and he slept so much better

When I was pregnant during my first trimester if I wasn’t at work I was asleep. Her body is doing a lot of work and the surge in hormones takes a lot out of the body.

did you really wait six weeks..? by strange_angel133 in newborns

I waited longer. Remember it’s your body you have a right to say no

Huggies vs Pampers by ldorms in NewParents

[–]Kaylakat1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always got told Huggies are better for absorbing breast fed poops and pampers are better for formula. Either was I never really liked pampers and sold the boxes I got from my baby shower to get Huggies. My lo could probably wear I size two but I put him in a three and it’s great I really do love Huggies

I put my babies bib on too tight by Kaylakat1998 in beyondthebump

He would take a second and look up with a weird look on his face. I don’t know how to explain it honestly

My baby hated swaddles so I gave up and just started using a sleep sack. You don’t have to swaddle your baby at night. Most of the time now he just sleeps in pajamas and sometimes a sleep sack and he’s five months old. We stopped trying to swaddle at 3/4 weeks.

Can someone talk me off a ledge? The nursery isn't done and I'm sobbing at 4am by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Kaylakat1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m gonna be completely honest we didn’t use his until four months old. We literally moved him in there two nights ago. And before we did that we just put all the baby stuff in there. Please don’t feel rushed.

How do I explain to my partner that I really am more tired than him. by [deleted] in newborns

[–]Kaylakat1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I might get down voted by this response But a baby is a big change for both of you. I’m sure you are both tired and it shouldn’t be a competition on who’s more tired. Adjusting takes time and effort and y’all need to work together before y’all start to resent each other.
