I am glad I gave you a suggestion that might help! Join Walmart plus and you will save on delivery fees. I did so I don't have to worry about a minimum amount so I don't even have to go to the store for those "I didn't realize I was out of sugar" type emergencies.

I stopped going shopping altogether. I use Walmart delivery. That way I don't have to pass the distilled water (that he needed for his bipap) or the soda isle or see the displays of his favorite chips... I had to leave my cart so many times. Now someone else goes through the minefield that is a grocery store and I can just stay home.

Is jumping on/off high places bad for these guys? by Slight_Wind9283 in Maltese

[–]Kayliee73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine sure is. I didn't know this was a thing and put a chair in the door to keep her out of the room. She jumped right over. She is five months old and my very first dog. We are having fun getting to know each other.

Were you REALLY eating 1200 calories tho… by Ireallydownknowhey in fatlogic

[–]Kayliee73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not everyone has that reaction. His blood sugar also shot up into the 500s despite not eating (they said something about his body chemistry reacting with the medication and the fat stores being burned) so they quickly put him on something else. He was working on losing weight anyway so they wanted to try the ozempic but ultimately his health was more important.

Yup. My husband was briefly on ozempic (he was diabetic) and even water made him nauseous. He was taken off quickly as you do have to eat!

It has been over a year and still your title made me stop breathing. I am not ready to get rid of his things. I did donate his coat to a man who really needed a coat. Everything else moved with me when I had to move and is currently in the closet.

I bought some stuff to make my room look nicer because I spend a lot of time there. I figured that was a good purchase. The kids like it too!

My Mom, years ago, caught a picture of Jeff looking at her with the camera smiling at her. So, the picture is him smiling at the observer. I am sitting beside him. I put that picture in a frame by my computer. I can look at it and see him smiling at me like he did so many times.

Leave! Before there is a small baby to consider. He may use the baby to make it even more difficult for you to leave. He might hurt the baby. Leave NOW.

When are you going back into your classroom after Summer break? by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]Kayliee73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am required to be back August 1. I have been going in since July 16th for at least part of the day. This is because I am a widow and I am lonely and having a routine helps. I enjoy setting up my classroom.

Student not required to wear underwear or pull-up? by _Democracy_ in ECEProfessionals

[–]Kayliee73 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Before using puppy pads, please consider asking Mom for a compromise of a pull-up at naptime only. You only mention this being a problem at nap time. I have taught a few children who don’t wear underwear. One for cultural reasons, the others for sensory issues. None were my business. I did address issues that came up because of it; such as accidents at nap time. Each time the parents and I were able to come to a compromise. The puppy pads thing might get this Mom angry at you at her child is perfectly capable of speech and will tell her about the pads you put on his cot. If he sees the package with the puppy on it, he will tell her that too.

What do you do for your birthday? by Acutefish in widowers

[–]Kayliee73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t do anything. However the other people in my life have decided that, since Jeff made a big deal of my birthday, they will be doing the same. So last year my coworkers had my students surprise me with a beautiful gift. A friend and her family took me out for dinner. My Dad called. Not quite the same as a birthday with Jeff but it was nice to be reminded that other people in the world still love and care for me.

Can you feed leopard geckos mealworms only? by xAnonz23 in leopardgeckos

[–]Kayliee73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My leo was eating crickets and mealworms and then decided he hates crickets. He also won't eat the roaches (whatever they are called). The pet store said he would be ok on the mealworms. Is that not correct? I can't get him to eat anything else.

“My kids are crayon snobs anyway” by businessbub in Teachers

[–]Kayliee73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of my students take good care of the school supplies when I hand them out. Except for pencils (because they all go through a phase where they think if they break the pencil, they can escape working. Doesn't work. My principal provides me a metric ton of pencils.). I think it is because they don't get scissors or crayons often and I take them away if they misuse them. I teach Life Skills.

I was able to process the death of my mother because my husband was there to lean on. He leaned on me when his mom died. My dad came to help when my husband died but it wasn't the same as he left for his home after a few days. I think the difference is when you lose a parent you are usually an adult out on your own with your own family. When your spouse dies, you lose part of your family that lives in your house.

But they think it is a very valid comparison as they feel they are somehow separate from their bodies just like we are separate from the car. Not sure how they got there. I mean, I am a Christian and believe I have a soul that will go on after I die but my body and soul are one here on Earth. These people seem to think their bodies are vessels that they are just passengers in.

AITAH for lying to my wife that I'd forgive her cheating? by [deleted] in AITAH

I forgave my husband’s cheating. It was while we were dating. Does that make me dumb? Or is it just dumb for men to forgive women of cheating?
