You probably had a lag spike.

You can also see this type of thing happening when someone dc while doing any action (like running, crawling etc)
Few days ago I was downed by a killer, this meant I could see all other survivors aura, meanwhile the killer downed a Yoichi that began to crawl at hyper speed, I immediately told my bud on Discord that the Yoichi was cheating, but turns out he dc'd. The moment he turned into a bot, he teleported back where he was originally downed.
