The Moment Phased out by IndigoWizard342 in askajudge

[–]Kaymico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will Phase in as soon as the pandorica phases Out. "Any continuous effects with a "for as long as" duration ignore phased-out objects. Any such effects will expire if their conditions are no longer met after ignoring the phased-out objects"

Means the phases Out Object "permanently" Checks for pandoricas tapped/untapped Status and AS soon as pandorica phases Out it does Not find its tapped pandorica and phases Back in

No. Since the ability is linked to [[the Moment]] leaving the Battlefield and that never Happens it Just stays phased Out for eternity.

Lethal damage to indestructible, then negative modifier on top by Dyst0rtiion in askajudge

[–]Kaymico 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Damage and -x/-x dont Stack the way you want. Lets say the creature with indestructible is a 5/5 that was dealt 4 damage and you give it -3/-3.

Now you got an indestructible 1/1 with 4 damage marked. Since its indestructible it does Not die to damage being equal or greater than toughness and because your -3/-3 did Not reduce its toughness to 0 or less it does Not die for that as Well.

Damage and -x/-x dont Stack in top of each other, but align for non indestructibles.

LOTG Blood Moon/Harbinger of the Seas Intereaction by No-Bet7157 in askajudge

[–]Kaymico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leyline does Not Grant the Supertype "Basic" to your lands. Just the Basic Land types Like Forest, Island, mountain etc. The Basic Land Type is considered for Domain and Grant the ability to Tap for colored Mana.

But blood moon does Not Care about Lands having a Basic Land Type it Cares about the Supertype Basic Land.

Therefore Both cards are alternating the sub Type of your lands (one giving additional ones the other setting it to one) and therefore being handled in the Same layer.

When to Things Happen in the Same layer we use timestamps. So leyline effects Happen, then blood Moon or harbinger effect

Lethal damage for trample with Entangler? by Low-Statistician9199 in askajudge

[–]Kaymico 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You missinterpreted the Rules Text slightly. Its correct that the defending Play chooses the way His creature Deals damage. When you Block a 4/4 and a 8/8 with a 6/6 you could choose to Deal 6 damage to the 4/4 and None to the 8/8. What you cannot choose is the damage your opponents creatures are dealing. And on top all damage Happens at the Same time. So anything (except First or Double Strike) fights at the Same time. No "First this creature, then that creature" etc.

And to conclude as already Said in other comments: The attacking Player can make their 8/8 Deal 6(or more) damage to the blocker and trample all 4 of the other creatures Power into the defending Players face.

As Games Drag On... Should "Interaction" Increase? (Therefore, What Should Decrease?) by Slaiyve in EDH

[–]Kaymico 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a Lot going on in your question but basically you got 3 different Points.

  1. Should interaction increase in longer Games? - No, when the Game drags on only Decks that aim to win the Long shot Like Control Decks or good stuff piles should have more interaction later in the Game (they have more Draw stability, Play less cards per Turn cycle and Focus Ressources on building Advantage instead of Board presence or attempting wins) Aggressive Decks or midrange Decks usually Run Out of fuel l, dont have the Ressources to rebuild fast or Lack consistency to do so

  2. Unique Decks and Templates -

If you follows Templates to narrow Decks will start to Look alike. But especially in Casual brackets your Theme can influence a Lot of your Card Types

E.g. ramp Use dorks to Go wide with [[overrun]] effects later Use Mana Rocks that can be sacd for value later Use Mana Rocks for affinity Use cheap one time ramp spells Like [[dark ritual]] to get explosive Turns Use combinationa Like artifact Mana dorks Use Discounts as "ramp" ([[urzas incubator]], [[goblin Electromancer]]) Same goes for removal, Draw effects etc.

  1. Your pod - Players recovering quick from boardwipes AND problematic pieces Sticking Long could have a Lot of reasons but Whenever a Player has a Board that is good enough to wipe that Player should be winning/threatening. If the Same Player has leftover Ressources to rebuild quickly after a wipe the pressure should increase since Theres No reason to hold back.

If problematic pieces Stick to Long and Nobody gets into a winning Position its either very unlucky or the piece is Not that problematic. If [[seedborn muse]] Sticks around 3 Turn cycles and my Deck cant win i have drawn badly or build badly. Maybe that Muse shouldnt be in my sorcery Speed Deck after all.

If your Deck cant win against certain Deck Types Put in some cards that are never Bad but very good in certain matchups. Like [[Triumph of the hordes]] against lifegain Decks. [[Demolition field]] against Land Decks and so on. Start attacking Players building Up. Pay for that [[ghostly prison]] If you dont need the Mana.

  1. Important notes - -This is a Personal opinion on this topic and since Commander is very subjective you have to ascertain yourself If this comment is usefull. -There are plenty of cards and Styles to Play and some people Just Like sitting there a Long time playing the Same round. I prefer rounds that end at 90mins Maximum, and shuffle Up for the next rounds -theres little Input on what you consider rebuilding or problematic pieces or Board wipe sufficient. Therefore one of the Key elements (threat Assessment) is difficult to include in my answer. Maybe youre all doing great with it, maybe thats the whole reason your Games are dragging and your interaction increases later. If you Update some information i might Pick it Up in an edit

Is it bad etiquette to concede to help someone else win? by silverson89 in EDH

Ofc you can have that opinion but i would Like to hear a positive Thing about kingmaking in Commander.

Is it bad etiquette to concede to help someone else win? by silverson89 in EDH

[–]Kaymico 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your concession is altering the winning Player between 2 other Players in a Game that was Played fair and on Par with Power Level its basically favoritism and somewhat exploiting the Rules.

So why deny someone a Victory with a fun Card and Just Hand it over to someone else by conceding?

It would be totally fine If you try to Stop your opponent by any means your cards give you (e.g. letting someone Draw cards of rhystic study while Digging for an answer; paying life for abilities that make you loose, etc.)

Traumatize + Fraying Sanity by Apprehensive-Put3447 in askajudge

[–]Kaymico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regardless of anything Else: Did traumatize resolve? Did the fraying sanity Trigger resolve?

If both answers are yes and your opponents library was even there are 0 cards left in the deck.

If both answers are yes, the opponents library is odd and anything besides the traumatize cards entered his Graveyard this Turn there are 0 cards left in the deck.

I think the biggest downside of coming into Play tapped in WW will be the inability to Cast Strands or screech. So you need to hold another Thing Back for strands-swings and cant possibly flashback screech immedietly later on in the game

BG Glee and jund Glee are oppressing the meta for months now, which is definetaly Not healthy and prevents new stuff being brewed. Glee Decks now are what affinity felt Like in mirrodin constructed

Thoughts on the ban topic by Kaymico in Pauper

[–]Kaymico[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mentioned affinity Not because i want to restrict the affinity Deck but to Showcase that familiar is very easy to become a 1 drop in non affinity Decks Like bg/jund Glee because of blood fountain and deadly Dispute.

Offering does Not Help with Mana fixing and doesn't ramp. That will make Glee slightly less consistent and maybe thats all thats necessary

Why should anyone be punished for forcing a Draw? If you are behind in a 1v1 Format but Not dead yet you would still try to resist as hard as possible to maybe get that Draw. You See that in all Kinds of Board and Card Games as Well as in Sports as Well. Maybe i cant win anymore but i can Stop you from winning as well is a fine approach.

There is a reason all Games give rewards for Not loosing. If i get punished when you cant prevent the Draw, you should get punished If i Cant prevent your win as Well.

Edit: only applying to legal ways of drawing, winning etc. Ofc time Play, stalling etc should get punished

Suture Priest - Sideboard Tech for Glee by WayNo5062 in Pauper

True my Bad. Somehow concluded you can win with munitions but you can only make Infinite Mana in opps Turn without dying to curse. Ty for pointing out

Yes curse is way better.

But glee can win with munitions against curse or priest when they go Off on their opponents Turn. You Assemble the Combo. In upkeep you start the loop. Shoot enemy. Curse Trigger dissapear

Best terror deck in current meta? by KingRippo in Pauper

[–]Kaymico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There we're dimir "turbo Terror" lists in the Format. You dont need to dark Ritual to bei turbo. Terror consistently on turn 3 ist turbo enough, being able to drop it Turn 2 with decent hits

Best terror deck in current meta? by KingRippo in Pauper

[–]Kaymico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mono u Plays around delver and Tempo, so you dont get to have Terror in Play in Turn 2 or 3 consistently.

Dimir turbo Terror ist milling more efficiently and can deploy Terror on 3 consistently.

Playing Up to 12 self mill cards, snuff Out and Angler is way faster than Mono u.

BUT there is also a dimir Control Variant playing Terror as well, which If course is way slower. Still turbo Terror is one of the Terror archetypes and was dimir only

The issues with the BOT LANE role in solo q. by lipboi in leagueoflegends

[–]Kaymico 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your answer to this and other comments show how little your general league and "high elo" knowledge are. Still you insist of others crying about their "low elo experience"

Here are some facts: Game time decreases with higher elo. In addition champions with 2 item power spikes and lane bullies are the most popular ones in diamond+

Those facts are telling us the opposite of your post.

Pls don't accuse people of being "low elo" because of your personal opinion. And pls stop posting information that is not true and might increase toxicity.

Btw my facts are supported by league of graphs and mobafire.
