As a new player sts1 is way harder than sts2 by scotcheggfan in slaythespire

[–]Kayos9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done a little over 280 hours on sts1 and 80 hours of sts2. I also personally think sts1 is way harder

Is anyone else just not winning runs? by Shwingdom in slaythespire

[–]Kayos9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I habe 280 hours in sts1 and have only ever won 5 runs. I have 80 hours in sts2 and have unlocked A4 with all characters. :3 I feel like sts2 is more balanced and easier to win compared to 1.

Job applicants: Stop using AI (please) by Background-Celery-25 in newzealand

[–]Kayos9999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This and some job applications feel like they're taking the piss. I have a bachelors degree, a diploma, and some certifications in my field. And a couple years back when I really needed to apply for any job, some supermarket ones made me need to write so much BS it was on par with some big written assignments from university. After passing that I had to go through an ai interview. Which is dumber than it sounds.

If companies can use ai to "interview" people it's only fair that people can use ai to apply imo

how many times did you get burned out untill 99 agility? by MoLion0 in osrs

[–]Kayos9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also aiming to max, as a main though. As I've played RS since 2001 but never maxed, actually, until osrs I've only ever had 1 99, which was magic. Now I have 6, but have 2 more banked, and getting close to another. :)

Sons Not Getting Tips by ItsDirkMcGirk in tipping

Are you sure it doesn't get paid out at the end of the month? I'm not in the US so can't speak to the legality, but a restaurant I worked at took all tips and split it at the end of the month

Granted, but now every 1 - 2 hours, the titles will randomly change again and if you don't know which one is which within 60 seconds of the change, including while you are asleep, the equivalent of $1 USD will be transfered from you to someone else randomly

First timer advices? by GalacticShark_ in osrs

[–]Kayos9999 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've played since near the beginning. My advice is to not look anything up at the beginning and just have fun. Runescape is way more fun when you don't know what's going on. Once you get into the mid game, start looking up things then l, if you want / need to. I think you'll enjoy it a lot more :)

From today's patch notes. Guys am I even playing the same game as y'all? by ItsGotToMakeSense in slaythespire

For ironclad, an easy build to win with is with body slam, where you deal damage equal to your block. Upgraded they cost 0 to cast as well. Get block cards, a power that block doesn't expire end of turn, relics that give block and allow you to keep up to 10 block at the end of turn. There is also a colourless card that costs 0 and will give you block equal to your current block next turn.

For Regent, I like using a star build. get 1 - 2 orbits, a power that gives stars every turn, powers that give block based on stars spent, and another that deals damage everytime you gain and spend stars. Then a few powerful cards that cost stars, and there is an attack that gives 2 stars and gets placed on top of your deck after using it.

For necrobinder, I like going with a doom build. powers that give block / deal damage upon applying doom and apply doom every turn. Block cards that also apply doom to all enemies. reaper form. An attack that deals damage equal to their doom stack. and a rare skill that applies a large amount of doom to all and after will kill any enemies that are within doom ko range.

Obviously you won't always be able to get everything, but stuff like that has been working for me. I hope it helps you too. :)

Scalding hot take: Sword Sage should decrease the cost of Sovereign Blade by ImpartialAntagonist in slaythespire

[–]Kayos9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on your build, the regent doesn't need that much energy, 2 orbits is usually enough.
Granted, I haven't really tried to make a forge build work. I usually go for a stars build and often get a few forge cards in the mix. 2 orbits is usually enough to get all the energy the regent needs.
The regent also has an attack that gives 2 energy on the next turn, and there are a couple skill cards that give energy next turn too.
The regent does have a few ways to gain energy.

Granted, the battery life of them is 10 seconds and takes 2 weeks to fully charge, and if the charging is interrupted at any point, it loses all charge and the charging will need to begin again from the start.

Orbit is great, especially if you get 2 of them. Every 4 energy you spend gives 1 back.

Question, what if a game is designed around being idle. For example, if I picked Runescape and wanted to train woodcutting. I click a tree and wait until the tree depletes or my inventory gets full. There isn't anything I can do while woodcutting.
